Are there any difference between sales and marketing department of a company?

The both of them are serving the same function but in different company. In a company that are producing buying and selling product they usually has sales department where they have sales representative to sale their product to customers but in a company that are dealing with buying and selling product that is basically base on rendering services to the people, they have marketing department to market their service.

Oh yes theres alot of different between sales department and marketing department because sales department only sale products to there clients and give them the products and receive the payment but as for marketing department they only go out to get clients and hold to there clients rules and advertise the products to them that's all

The sales department is responsible for closing transactions and agreements with the customer, delivering the products and receiving payment. In the case of marketing, it is about attracting customers through attractive and quality publications both online and offline to make certain sales. Although they are closely related to the products, they fulfill different functions.

They do not mean the same thing. Sales refers to all the activities and action that leads to selling of your goods or service while marketing is the means through which you create awareness for your product or service. Many organization tend to merge this together these days

The sales department consists of the people who actually sell the products. The marketing department are the folks who figure out the ways in which to get the sales people in front of prospects. Sales and marketing are very distinctive functions, with different objectives and different skills required to succeed. Out in the society, I guess they are used very inter-changeably.

It is based on the size of the company. Both sales and marketing are integral parts of both marketing and sales, and I think that some businesses also call it as 'sales and marketing' department. The two must be used together, otherwise no one will like a cigarette. These two people work hand in hand to ensure that the company's goods are popular within the market.

sale and marketing teams should go hand in hand as one department in order to attract, inform and retain customers. Aligning these two departments into a single. Marketing department plays a crucial role in the future of your business success.

Sales, alludes to all exercises that lead to the selling of products and enterprises. What's more, marketing is the way toward getting individuals inspired by the merchandise and ventures being sold.sales is a term used to depict the exercises that lead to the selling of products or administrations.

there is difference between sales and marketing department of a company, the marketing department are involved in the advertisement of a particular product to the consumers while the sales department are involved in the selling of the products

There isn't much difference between sales and marketing in a company though sales department sells the product while the marketing department just advertise the product to people and companies.

Yes there is difference between sales department and marketing department because the sales department manages the selling of products to do the consumer either at large quantity or small quantity while marketing department only deals with the marketing of sales

The term sales, refers all activities that leads to the selling of goods and services, while marketing is the process of getting people interested in the goods and services sold. Marketing department is responsible for running campaigns to attract people to the business’ brand, product or service. Sales and marketing are not so much different, both have the same objectives and targets. Sales are carrying out on the small scales, while marketing is carrying out on the large scales and both needs hardworking.

From my own point of view and understanding, Sales is quit different from Marketing. Now for example a Sales person would have to have a one on one conversation with the customer so as to make the customer see reasons why they need the product where as Marketing you don’t need to be there an advert can be made to market the product

Yes, just like the name implies. Marketers advertise the company products, while sales representatives sale the goods being advertised. But here in my country, one person gets to do the two together and honestly it can be very tiring.

The term, sales, refers to all activities that lead to the selling of goods and services. And marketing is the process of getting people interested in the goods and services being sold.

Sales and marketing department in any organization is almost the same, but it also depends on the type of company and their mode of operation. But I every normal setting the sales and marketing department are working towards a specific goal.

There is a big difference between sales and marketing in all organizations. Sales deals with selling of products while marketing are the ones in charge of making products known to customers. Without marketing sales cannot be made and this will greatly affect the company productivity. Nevertheless both sales and marketing work together.

Concerning your question on the difference between sales and marketing, I would say the term sales, refers all activities that leads to the selling of goods and services, while marketing is the process of getting people interested in the goods and services sold. Marketing department is responsible for running campaigns to attract people to the business’ brand, product or service. Therefore both are equally important

seles department and marketing department Both department are the same but little different Marketing is a broad, somewhat simplistic concept, where “selling” is thought of as the exchange activity. Marketing is an overall Organisational activity the planning, pricing, promotion, packaging, advertising and selling of any Value Offer Product

There are a few general differences between marketing department and sales department. For example, marketing focuses its efforts on the general public or larger groups of people, while sales targets smaller groups of people or subsets of the general public.
