Put simply, marketing builds awareness and attracts leads to your business. Sales convert those leads into paying customers. Businesses need to use a holistic, collaborative approach that involves both departments working together to reach common goals.

Marketing is the series of ways in which you make people to become aware about the product you are introducing to the , how it works and what they can gain when they use the product while sales is the act of selling the product to the customers .

Both sales and marketing are geared toward boosting revenue. People frequently fail to distinguish between the two due to how closely they are related. In fact, the same individuals frequently do both sales and marketing duties in small businesses. Though marketing and sales are distinct, as the organization expands, so do the roles and duties.

If any organisation has sales and marketing department then such departments have different responsibilities. Marketing department deals with marketing of products and creating of awareness. Selling of products are being controlled and every information are being handled by the sells department.

With the marketing department in your organisation , you creates awareness about your business in a way that will let the people know much about what you are offering , and the sales department deals with the sellings .

Yes of course there is a difference between sales and marketing but they linked.sales is the primary aim marketing we're as marketing involve advertisement, pricing and negotiation.

The two departments are closely connected and they are highly correlated.
Marketing determines sales and sales is determined by marketing. If you Market your products you would make sales

Building brand awareness and generating interest in the company's goods and services are the main goals of marketing. In order to attract and engage potential customers, this frequently entails conducting market research, identifying target demographics, producing message and creative content, and employing a variety of channels (such as social media, email marketing, or paid advertising). Contrarily, sales is concerned with turning those potential consumers into paying customers. This frequently entails more one-on-one, direct encounters with prospective clients, such as making sales calls, delivering presentations, or negotiating contracts.

From my own point of view, the marketing department attracts potential customers to the product on offer, it is the sales department that seals the deal by making sure they convert that attraction to transactions.

There is a general consensus that sales is that department in a company that is in charge of boosting the sales of a company while marketing is also a department that is meant to improve the sales of a business.
Knowing these two, are there difference between them or they mean the same thing?
There is a slight difference between the two for those who can understand. The difference is that the sales department are responsible for making sales while the marketing department markets the goods.

I think that marketing sales are two different kind of departments. However, sometimes both of these departments are merged into one department. They both work together.

Yes, I think there is just slight difference between the Marketing and sales department. I think the department should work hand in hand together as one department in order to attract and retain customers.

It is the marketing department that does things like advertisements and awarenesses creation. The sales department on the other hand has to do with pricing, delivery of goods/ services and promotions. Marketing is the broad department that accommodates sales department. Sales is a sub department of marketing department.

They mostly work together but some people will focus on the sales while some people who focus on the marketing of the product but it is always merged together in the companies that I know

Marketing is concerned with increasing potential consumers' knowledge of the business and its brand, whereas sales is concerned with converting that awareness into current revenue.

Marketing is when you create awareness for your business by letting people know much more about your business, while sales department deals with the sales and services.

Yes, i feel the difference between a sales and marketing department of a country is that a marketing department is concerned with advertising a product while a sales department is concerned with how much profit is made from the sales of products.
