The truth is where two or more people are gathered there is bound to be problems, people will always disagree, sometimes it may end up getting ugly because they may insult themselves or use harsh words on each other. As a manager the best way I will say to resolve conflict is to try to understand why the problem happened in the first place and probably when it happens you can suspend the staff so that other staff could take correction from what has happened.

By assigning them into different assignment if much possible can if that so then even having a conflicts doesn't seem affecting but if the two parties always join side so its will trigger always a conflict in different parties thus it will spread too.

The best way to solve a problem in a company is to find the root of the situation and call a meeting between the affected parties. Reach consensus in the meeting and then find the solution. At the meeting you should write the agreements to avoid similar future situations.

I agree that conflicts arising in the workplace is common not only among peers but also between a superior and subordinate. That is why the so called team building program is getting popular. When the employees have a feeling that they are part of the team and their co-employees are their teammates then the conflict can be minimized if not totally eliminated. Every business or workplace has a lay down rules, which conflict among staff is included. If there is conflict between two or more staff, you will need to follow the lay down rules and ask all the parties involved, if it is not too serious, try to resolve them but if it is serious and need sack, the staff needs to be sacked.
