Have you ever given advice to another forum owner that helped raise their aspirations?

I remember talking to a forum owner years after we initially met, and he had built a modestly successful forum, and he reminded me of some of the advice (both good and bad LOL) that we had shared waaaay back in the days of Invision Free that helped him keep going.

A new forum owner should be patient. Just understand that it is never as easy as anyone makes it look. You are going to invest, and in some cases, those investments would take time to be actualized.

Patience and planning. Know what you want to achieve before you push that ‘Board Active’ button.

Slow progress is better than no progress at all. So, don’t feel down when things are off to a slow start.

I have given quite a bit of advice over the years when it comes to building a forum. One piece of advice I always give is that patience and consistency are key. You should never expect your forum to take off over night or within a few weeks or months, it will take time, patience and a lot of work.
