Those two business or companies are just similar in nature. The other is started with group of business entrepreneurs and the other, came into existence when two or more companies merge together to become one and forge ahead to be called group of company.

The two businesses you mentioned are simply lookalike. You can be in partnership with someone, it has become a joint venture. At same time merge with other companies to drive on one goal, that's merging together.

In simple language, a joint venture is a cooperation contract both in production factors, both raw materials, labor and capital by forming a new company, while a merger is the incorporation of two or more companies into one existing company, for example Beermoney, gg merger with Bizdustry .
Well said , this was what i had in mind too. A joint venture is different from a merger because two companies that have a joint venture and not merge, likewise when companies merge, is that still a joint venture or now they are one

A joint venture company at two companies coming together to form an alliance due to finance or managerial factors why a major is two company coming together two become one bass on understanding and who's who to solve their problem.

In my own opinion, a joint venture it the one owned and managed by a single individual which has different business establishment operated under the same umbrella. A merger occurs when different business organizations decide to come together and form a bigger venture to operate a single name and management.

Well, in reply to your question in the above post concerning the difference between a joint ventures and a merger, i am of the opinion that a merger is when two existing companies merge into one and a joint venture is simply a contract thing

Differences between mergers and joint ventures
A merger occurs when two firms continue to carry out business operations as one single firm rather two separate firms. On the other hand, a joint venture occurs when two firms continue to carry out the business operations but form a separate entity.

A Joint venture also known JV, occur on when two firms continue to carry out business operations but form a separate entity.
While Merger occurs on when two firms continue to carry out business operations as one single firms rather than separate entity.

adventure is two companies coming together in order to achieve one purpose and a merger is the combination of two companies to become one.

From the best of my knowledge a joint venture is two people coming together to establish something while a merger is when two existing companies come together.

Join venture could be when to or more parties, companies or organizations join hands together to form a partnership in other to achieve a specific goal why a merger is when two or more companies join together to longer be a seperate entity but become one

A joint venture company has two parties and the profits are shared between them in an agreed percentage. While a meger can be likened to buying over a company.

To make it more easier, merge companies are two companies becoming one while joint companies are two coming trying to work things out together but with different motives.

Merger deals more with two different companies coming together to work as one while joint venture involves two parties forming a business.

I don't really know much about it too, but I think merging a business involve another person bringing an external business into your business organization hoping that people will also be interested in it.

Joint venture is when two or more people invest capital together in a business while merger is the coming together of two or more established businesses to become one.

They are some how similar but different
In a merger, two or more companies combine forces and become a new, separate entity. ... However, in a joint venture, two or more companies combine and share their resources for the purpose of pursuing a specific goal.
This is a very nice and very simple explanation. Merger is the combination of two businesses or companies while joint venture is the sharing of resources in order to gain profit.

A joint venture company is like a company you started from scratch with someone and merger is a business you wish to merger with some after you have started and running your own business

Joint ventures is, in my opinion, when two or more parties invest capital to create a company and make a profit together. A merger is when a company created absorbs one or more companies that have been dissolved. Therefore the benefits are of the company that is maintained without having to share these profits.
Joint ventures business are two companies coming together independently putting their capitals together so achieve a certain goal why margin of business may arise due to one reason or the other maybe short of ideas or capital.

Exactly you are completely right with your assessment of what a joint venture is because they will have to come up to set up a capital that they will use to startup or finance a particular business and share their profits or losses together.
