What are the five motivational factors?

agree with your points. I think it is important to create a motivational atmosphere where employees are geared to work at an optimal level. This is should be encouraged in any workspace, I honestly think the employees have to have passion for the job as well

Reward and recognition

Reward and recognition come hand in hand. Recognition for good work has a limited shelf life; praise begins to lose its impact if not accompanied by reward. Exceptional work deserves reward and while recognition is sufficient in certain cases, employees begin to lose motivation if they are not rewarded for extra effort.

The most important motivational factors are these.
1: Fear

Workers have to know there will be consequences for poor performance and bad behavior. They’ll rise to a higher standard if they are held to one.

2: Peer Pressure

Good managers use people to motivate each other. Bad workers are elevated by good ones. Good workers are dragged down by bad ones. By being mindful of the “negativity saturation”, a manager can drown out the negativity of an individual with a team of positive individuals.

3: Pride

Most people want to feel proud of their work and themselves. If a manager creates a work place that gives their employees a reason to feel proud of their job (and themselves), those employees will perform better.

4: Recognition

It’s human nature to want to be recognized for your efforts. Effective managers express genuine appreciation for an employee’s abilities and output. I’m not saying that everyone should get a pat on the back for everything that they do, rather show them that you see when they are doing good work.

5: Money

Employees say they’ll work harder for more money, rarely is it true. I consider money to be the least effective of the motivators. It should only be used in combination with the above. If you frequently use monetary motivation, the employees will come to expect it and might even resent not receiving it.
Anybody who knows more about these he must share his/her ideas.
You're right. We tend to do better when there's a motivation. I think fear is a good motivator. Marketers use fear as a motivator as often as they can. They present a scenario they hope will invoke our sense of fear. Then they show us a solution – a path back to our comfort zone – that entails using their product or service.

Thank you for this post. I am motivated already and inspired, I will not entertain fear for whatsoever reason it might be. Fear is what kills morale in business, it hinders a business owner from forging ahead to take up the opportunity ahead of him, fear kills so fast in business.

What are the five motivational factors

Reward and recognition

Reward and recognition come hand in hand. Recognition for good work has a limited shelf life; praise begins to lose its impact if not accompanied by reward. Exceptional work deserves reward and while recognition is sufficient in certain cases, employees begin to lose motivation if they are not rewarded for extra effort.

One of the motivating factors is meeting the need of of the people. It helps in putting more energy into what you are doing. Another thing is that, the result of what you are doing in form profit. More so, staying at the top of the game most especially, making sure that your employees give the best also.

It depends on what do you want and where you are there are some companies that could supply you with quality working condition and there are some company who had so little in the area of finance then first company can never provide you with a conducive working environment especially in government work a working good condition area are often fine in the premises of private own companies

I agree with this your five listed motivational factors. I think only reason why I have not gone right in life is because of fear of allowed for you to be a part of a motivational Factor in my life in not doing what I have always loved to do or do you can also be manipulated? To make you achieve things you never thought you could.
The set of needs that explain the behavior of people are what we call motivating factors, social motivators and psychological motivators.the motivation is those stimuli that move a person, to perform certain actions, which require an effort to achieve in objective.recognition , attitude,Good wages, loyalty, career advancement opportunities.

A motivational factor is the thing that motivates a person. In business or in employment the primary motivational factor is the need. The employee needs his job so he would be dedicated to his work. if he thinks that he is neglected at work that he is not given his due promotion then he leaves to move to another company. Again, it is the need for the higher position that will give him not only recognition but more money and more duties and responsibilities.

When we are talking about factors that motivate an individual in an organization or company includes the following
Reward and recognition come hand in hand. ...
  • Development. ...
  • Leadership. ...
  • Work life stability
  • Work surroundings

Prize and acknowledgment. Prize and acknowledgment come inseparably.

Advancement.

Authority.

Equilibrium between fun and serious stuff.

Workplace.

All the previously mentioned are to be taking genuine in light of the fact that they're the acceptable variables that shouldn't be play with.

You have really done justice to this topic but permit me to add this one thing that I feel also motivates people. We all know that monetary rewards dominates the motivation value chain but some people's motivation is food. Yes you read right, some people love food so much that the promise of food can motivate them alot.
Lol, I can't stop laughing, anyway you made a point of what you said. There are many people like that if you promise them a food there is nothing they can not do for you, it's true that food can motivate some people. And money is another thing that easily to motivate a employees if you promise them a extra money.

I recognized long ago that most business owners simply haven’t been taught basic motivation strategies. Which is to say that most business owners don’t understand that different people are motivated by different things. In order to be a successful manager, the owner must understand and leverage the 5 main motivators to ensure that their employees yield the best possible results.
Fear
Peer Pressure
Recognition
etc

Keep patience, build stamina stronger to work on your weaknesses and until you get the excellence in your work which you dreamed about and working every day.Things will get difficult, people will be harsh but the only thing you have to keep in your mind is that you started your journey
