I, d rather believe that fear conquers and eliminates hope. Success is less guaranteed when a person has fear. Particularly the fear of failure which literally drives people to fail. Positive peer pressure is the only type

Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Motivation involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior. In everyday usage, the term is frequently used to describe why a person does something.

As individuals and especially as entrepreneurs we need a lot of motivation to either start or to continue with business. In self motivation, I tend to motivate daily to persuade myself on how to be patient and that results usually take time to show up.
I also read or watch about the life of people who have done it before, the steps they take to achieve success and I use it as a source of motivation.
Keeping fit and the utmost need to be successful and live debt free is another source of motivation to me.

Incentives are among the things that motivates employees to put in their best and become more productive. The incentives can be in form of cash reward, holiday trip, or a movie ticket. The most important thing is to always find a way to motivate your employees to give their best.

There are many factors of motivation some of which are given below.
  • Reward and recognition.

  • Work life balance.

Prize and acknowledgment

Prize and acknowledgment come inseparably. Acknowledgment for great work has a restricted time span of usability; acclaim starts to lose its effect if not joined by remuneration. Extraordinary work merits reward and keeping in mind that acknowledgment is adequate in specific cases, representatives start to lose inspiration on the off chance that they are not compensated for additional

The most important motivational factors are these.
1: Fear

Workers have to know there will be consequences for poor performance and bad behavior. They’ll rise to a higher standard if they are held to one.

2: Peer Pressure

Good managers use people to motivate each other. Bad workers are elevated by good ones. Good workers are dragged down by bad ones. By being mindful of the “negativity saturation”, a manager can drown out the negativity of an individual with a team of positive individuals.

3: Pride

Most people want to feel proud of their work and themselves. If a manager creates a work place that gives their employees a reason to feel proud of their job (and themselves), those employees will perform better.

4: Recognition

It’s human nature to want to be recognized for your efforts. Effective managers express genuine appreciation for an employee’s abilities and output. I’m not saying that everyone should get a pat on the back for everything that they do, rather show them that you see when they are doing good work.

5: Money

Employees say they’ll work harder for more money, rarely is it true. I consider money to be the least effective of the motivators. It should only be used in combination with the above. If you frequently use monetary motivation, the employees will come to expect it and might even resent not receiving it.
Anybody who knows more about these he must share his/her ideas.
There is no doubt that motivation brings about productivity in any business. There are several ways you can motivate your workers. One of the most important ways is to improve on their welfare. If you make your workers happy they will always be productive.

You are very right about the motivational factors that can make our business to grow.
Recognition and appreciation should go hand in hand. People want to be recognized for putting their best at work as such they give in their best.
Recognition goes with appreciation because when you appreciate your employee they will be more motivated.

A clear path of career progression

It’s not enough just to enrol employees on training courses and webinars, though. What’s even more motivating for most professionals is being shown that there are more rungs on the career ladder that they can climb to within your business.

Hertzberg's hygiene factors are things like: job security, salary, benefits, work conditions, good pay, paid insurance and vacations. In other words mainly extrinsic, short term motivation factors – things that other people do, or don't do – or things that other people give you or don't give you.

My motivational factor is my peer group, I also want to achieve more than anyone of them, so I try harder to work and keep my self moving forward
I try to be above all of them and I will definitely proud of that.

I don't think fear, peer pressure and pride qualify as motivational factors. These are undesirable qualities in themselves. Fear can serve as a deterrent to accomplishing one's aim. Peer pressure most times has to do with bad influence. And pride is pride. Agree with the other two, but the first three, no.

  1. Set goals and recognize success. Your employees want a challenge, it's human nature. ...
  2. Listen. One of the biggest motivating factors for employees is the feeling that their wants and needs are heard at work. ...
  3. Pay them well. ...
  4. Care about their future. ...
  5. Create a good culture.

Appreciation or recognition for a job well done.
Being in the know about company matters.
An understanding attitude from the management.
Job security.
Good wages.
Interesting work.
Career advancement opportunities.
Loyalty from management.

My appreciation goes to the original poster of this message that you're very wonderful and I'm happy to come across this message here. We need to be motivated in any line of businesses we find ourselves. Every day, entrepreneurs are faced with many reasons why they have to give up but one will continue to wax stronger no matter what.

You made excellent submissions there and from the perspective of a worker or employee, you could not have states it any better. A conducive environment with worthy pay are all the motivations I need to perform excellently.

Motivating factors, which can be either internal or external to the entrepreneur, classified motivators into four categories: financial rewards (extrinsic rewards), independence/autonomy, personal growth (intrinsic rewards) and family security [4,2]. Motivating factors can also be classified as push or pull factors.

Business owners showing genuine appreciation to employees that are doing well is the first step towards having a great working environment. Employees need to see that their efforts are not overlooked in any way. This is what makes the difference between a boss that shouts and one that is there to lead.

I agree with this your five listed motivational factors. I think only reason why I have not gone right in life is because of fear of allowed for you to be a part of a motivational Factor in my life in not doing what I have always loved to do or do you can also be manipulated? To make you achieve things you never thought you could.
