The most important motivational factors are these.
1: Fear

Workers have to know there will be consequences for poor performance and bad behavior. They’ll rise to a higher standard if they are held to one.

2: Peer Pressure

Good managers use people to motivate each other. Bad workers are elevated by good ones. Good workers are dragged down by bad ones. By being mindful of the “negativity saturation”, a manager can drown out the negativity of an individual with a team of positive individuals.

3: Pride

Most people want to feel proud of their work and themselves. If a manager creates a work place that gives their employees a reason to feel proud of their job (and themselves), those employees will perform better.

4: Recognition

It’s human nature to want to be recognized for your efforts. Effective managers express genuine appreciation for an employee’s abilities and output. I’m not saying that everyone should get a pat on the back for everything that they do, rather show them that you see when they are doing good work.

5: Money

Employees say they’ll work harder for more money, rarely is it true. I consider money to be the least effective of the motivators. It should only be used in combination with the above. If you frequently use monetary motivation, the employees will come to expect it and might even resent not receiving it.
Anybody who knows more about these he must share his/her ideas.

In all honesty, I do not want to believe that fear motivates the individual. I'd rather believe that fear conquers and eliminates hope. Success is less guaranteed when a person has fear. Particularly the fear of failure which literally drives people to fail. Positive peer pressure is the only type that motivates. When one sees his/her peers who are doing much better in areas where they know they could've done better or be successful at, then they get to stretch and double their own efforts to even be better than they are.

I agree with your points. I think it is important to create a motivational atmosphere where employees are geared to work at an optimal level. This is should be encouraged in any workspace, I honestly think the employees have to have passion for the job as well

Appreciation or recognition for a job well done. Being in the know about company matters. An understanding attitude from the management. Job security. Good wages. Interesting work. Loyalty from management.

I appreciate all what are posted up there from that OP. but I have a few points to add and they are:
nobody does it better than you can
if you give up, it doesn't make any positive change, you're only giving another person Chance to take over from you
Failure in one business is not the failure in all businesses
Stupidity is doing the same thing the same way and expecting a different result
Be creative in your line of business.

I beleive all the aforementioned are right except fear. Fear is a liar and can’t motivates anyone into doing better in a company. There’re other good ways to motivate your employees. Naturally most employees have fear about their job security, there’s no need to add to it by complicating it more.

Yes, you made a point if what you said and I understand your all the listed factors, but some people might be misunderstanding the first one which is "fear". Yes I agreed with it, because if employee do not perform well he/she may loose job. Therefore, employee who knows that any unwell performance employee can be suspended at any time will be fear of loosing his/her job, so he/she will keep well perform.

Let’s begin with the four factors that are the basics of motivating anyone, in any organization. These four factors are

leadership style,
the reward system,
the organizational climate
the structure of the work

The motivational in business or job is your knowledge it is very important to be motivated in everything that you want to do, is good to motivat your employees about their jobs to perform very in the company.

Five motivational factors for me are recognition, happiness, healthy environment, work-life balance and connection. It's really hard to keep going if you are not motivated. Motivation serves as an energy for us. It's that one factor that we always look up to whenever we feel down and sad.

"Advancement Satitpati", a manager can eliminate the negative of a person with the team of positive people. Most people want to feel proudly on their work and self-determination. If a manager prepares a place that provides a reason to feel proud of his employees (and self), then the employee will perform better. The person is human nature to know for his efforts. Effective managers express real appreciation for employee capabilities and output. I am not saying that every one should be back behind every work, but also show them when they are doing good work. Money employees say they will work more for maximum amount, rarely it's true. I understand minor work in money. It should be used only together with the above mentioned. If you use financially trendy, employees will expect it and may not be angry when it receives it

  • Reward and recognition. Reward and recognition come hand in hand. ...
  • Development. ...
  • Leadership. ...
  • Work life balance. ...
  • Work environment.

You have really done justice to this topic but permit me to add this one thing that I feel also motivates people. We all know that monetary rewards dominates the motivation value chain but some people's motivation is food. Yes you read right, some people love food so much that the promise of food can motivate them alot.

I do believe that motivation does not stem from only 5 factors. There could be 100 of reasons why an individual is motivated and I don't think those 5 covers all. The best type of motivation is internal, the type from within. I don't think fear should be seen as a motivational factor.

Personally my number one motivation is money, the fact that I know doing a particular thing gives me money then am all for it, if I happen to misbehave threaten me with money I will comply as soon as possible.

When a company undergoes leadership changes the psychological climate of the company is altered and in turn, the whole employee performance improves.

The appropriate leadership style depends on the goals and objectives of the organization, the people within the company, and the external environment

Very powerful, thanks for sharing this motivational factors that propels one to reach out to their dream life and become successful. I feel the main motivational factors should be recognition and money. Everyone loves to be recognized for something good hence there are chasing their dreams.

Here are 5 factors we feel are key to creating motivated employees:
  • Reward and recognition. Reward and recognition come hand in hand. ...
  • Development. ...
  • Leadership. ...
  • Work life balance. ...
  • Work environment.

1. Reward and recognition

Reward and recognition come hand in hand. Recognition for good work has a limited shelf life; praise begins to lose its impact if not accompanied by reward. Exceptional work deserves reward and while recognition is sufficient in certain cases, employees begin to lose motivation if they are not rewarded for extra effort.

There are many ways to reward employees. Rewards can vary in both cost and impact and it is best to offer a portfolio of rewards.
2. Development

Development is very important for motivating employees; studies have shown that 20% of employees prefer career development opportunities and training to monetary reward. Development makes an employee self-dependent and allows them to contribute more effectively in the workplace, it also helps employees to enhance their input to your business.
3. Leadership

A study by Gallup found that, only 2 in 10 employees strongly agree that their performance is managed in a way that motivates them to do outstanding work – this clearly displays how much a good leader motivates employees.
4. Work life balance

Providing a good work life balance nurtures employees. Motivated employees are less likely to take sick days, leave the organisation and will be more prepared to work longer hours.
5. Work environment

Motivated employees thrive in a positive work environment. This refers to the physical and non-physical environment – the physical environment is the office space and surrounding areas. Employees work better in open spaces that stimulate the senses.
