SEO is a full time job and requires advanced knowledge of the current trends, strategies and algorithm changes. Many marketing professionals know the basics and believe they can do their own SEO. The truth is they can't, and they learn it the hard way. True SEO professionals stay on top of all the latest trends and know from experience what works and what doesn't. You don’t want to experiment with your website and create problems that will take more time and money to fix.

I'll be looking at this topic from another angle, let's say you have done your SEO correctly and you have done marketing on your side from your social media handles like Facebook Instagram and Twitter, your site now generates good traffic but your effort would be in futility if your content is poor.

Good SEO practices are referred to as ‘white hat,’ and these are those that comply with industry standards that follow SEO rules. These are used by people who care about the long-term top-ranking strategies, which can take up to six months to materialize but will generate far more solid results in the future. Bad SEO, on the other hand, is called ‘black hat,’ and often violates Google’s terms of service, which include using hidden text, keyword stuffing, and spamming among other ‘dirty’ tactics. These are considered shortcuts to rank high in search engine results but are met with stiff that significantly reduce a website’s rankings on Google and other search engines altogether.

Trying to rank for the wrong keywords, if you want to rank in Google, you need to make sure that you use the right keywords for each page. One of the biggest mistakes I frequently encounter is that site owners are optimizing too many generic keywords. If you're a relatively small business that wants to rank as a 'rental car,' you're aiming too high.

The most common mistakes of SEO are as under.
  1. Unsatisfied search intent.
  2. Traditional SEO techniques.
  3. Not updating yourself.
  4. Ignoring structured data and search features.
  5. Ignoring conversion optimization.
  6. Not focusing on branded anchor text.
  7. Only text is the content to focus.

SEO job requires advance knowledge to know about new trend, not seeing analytic to see what converts, not optimizing for local search, not optimizing for the right keywords, e.g local and generic keywords.

  • Not Optimizing for Local Search. ...
  • Not Optimizing for the Right Keywords. ...
  • Not Having Unique Title Tags and Meta Descriptions.
  • Not Using Anchor Text for Internal Links.

Not Using Analytics to See What Converts
SEO isn’t only about massive amounts of free traffic. It’s also about conversion.

It’s easy to get caught up watching which phrases are sending you the most traffic, and then getting bummed when you can’t rank for those super-competitive, high-traffic keywords. But traffic isn’t all that matters

I'll be taking a gander at this theme from another point, suppose you have done your Website optimization accurately and you have done showcasing on your side from your online media handles like Facebook Instagram and Twitter, your webpage presently produces great traffic however your work would be in purposelessness if your substance is poor.

Just the way the internet is changing, SEO is developing and changing too. To stay at the very top of the search results, you need to keep up with these changes and apply modern SEO techniques.
If you keep applying the traditional SEO techniques, then you may end up getting penalized. Those days are gone when you can rank by using keyword stuffing, PBNs, and other traditional methods.

Some of the mistakes people make when it comes to SEO is not keeping up with Trend. To do well in this SEO, one must have to be very updated with the latest trends.

Another mistake is ranking for the wrong keywords. Also, not putting up great contents that will visitors coming back to the site.

Although it may be true that nothing in this world is perfectly secure, online trading is definitely as good as offline trading in providing your financial transactions with protection. ... Make sure your brokerage uses high-end encryption when making securities transactions over the Internet.

If you really want your site to always be at the top ranks, you must always try as much as possible to follow SEO rules. But it is not enough to do only SEO and neglect hard work by putting up good content. Good content will naturally draw huge traffic to your website.

Copying contents from other websites and posting on yours will kill the SEO rank as soon as you can imagine. Writing original contents or paying quality writers to do the job for you is one of the best ways that you can overcome the challenges of SEO ranking.

I remember one website in the past that had a lot of articles on the web pages. But most of the articles are copied from another site. The owner said that he has no time to write so he just copied the articles and posted them on his site. That was the time when SEO was not born yet. Now I guess that is one big mistake to do - copying an article or even a portion of the article to be posted on your website. The search engines might remove your site from their search list.
