Well, this just literally happened about 1-2 hours ago. A member of mine stole almost every single post I have created in my "Community Management" forum. It wasn't just the idea of the thread he took, because I wouldn't have minded that. There are many forums that cover this same topic, that's not stealing. But, he copied it word for word. This really makes me mad how people think this is alright and no one will find out, it's not that hard to turn things into your own words or give you own opinion on it.

Anyways, sorry for that rant, but has this happened to you? How long ago and what was the result?

This is things which I don't like it at all as it will ruin your hard work as to be afraid to say you can't stop them to do so. Normally I try to contact the forum/site owner to remove it or at least link back to my content which will much better for both of us.

If the member of your forum posts copied content, you can simply ban him. If someone has copied content and posed on other site, you can ask the site owner to remove the content. This is the best way to deal with content theft.

That person have broken the rules of plagiarism. Copy and paste is purely stealing ones intellectual creativity to form part of his or her own work. That is plagiarism offence, if such person is using SEO tools, or monetize his or her site via adsense, he'll be spotted for breaching plagiarism laws, as such losing the approval of adsense for copying and pasting another person's contents.

What you describe is incorrect, and should not have happened, for this there are laws that protect you and you can act if it is your decision, in the case of the forum you should suspend it for a definite or indefinite time, since it is violating the forum and its guidelines.

I hate when people steal content. It's lazy and quite pathetic. I have dealt with people stealing content of my own over the years, even my own forum posts at sites, which I found to be quite odd, but weirder things have happened. It's just lazy and offensive to me when it happens. I put a lot of work into my writings, and seeing someone else use that same writing to profit really bugs me.

I'm all for people being inspired by something to make something of their own, but it can't be copied content, that's just messed up. That's why whenever I suspect someone has stolen my work, or even others, I use tools like https://plagiarismdetector.net/, which you can search a whole body of text to see if the content is elsewhere. This is how I caught people before. I would recommend you using it as well if you suspect anyone of copying someone else's work. As well, there are other plagiarism tools online. I would look into using a few of them, as some don't find anything, while others will.

When I am posting on forums many times I see word-to-word copy of comment from the previous commentator. It hurts to see such thing on a forum that has been rewarding members since a long time

This has never happened to me but I have seen other people in forums I work in do that. They steal other people's posts and post them as theirs. It is really embarrassing to steal a post word by word when you are capable of giving your own opinion. Such people are just too lazy to think or type their thoughts.

This would be a major challenge site owners, especially paid to post would always have which is why I have not really been encouraged to start one, if it happens to me, I would just move on, leave it to karma because I do not think there's anything I can do about that.

You would have reported the issue to the google , so they would sort every issues and the content of the blog who stole your content wont ne indexed

People steal content without even trying to edit it and do copy and paste word for word because they at lazy to create their own ideas and content, no matter how poor your words are, you need to create your own content and by so doing, a you will be developing your writing skill.

I had atleast 2 videos stolen from my channel, the guy who stole them, used them claiming that there were cheats inside and put a download link in the description, my report alone wasn't enough, so i just gave up... and yeah, it's really annoying

I have experienced this kind of issue on my blog site but it isn't as yours because the person that copied my content on my blog actually used his own word to change the words of the topic on his own blog and there was nothing I could do.

That's fraud of the highest order, i think the best is to report such user to get rusticated by search engines, and also see his or her IP address to be banned for life.

I have been publishing online and running websites since a long time and my content have been stolen multiple times, you can do nothing about it if the stolen conten is published else where.

One way to avoid the problem is to avoid SEO. If there's no SEO who cares? However, with SEO, you might feel like the search engines would get confused and say you had bad content cause of all this content theft going on. Anyway, the engines are probably (This is an opinion.) to see who wrote stuff first, though.

This has happened to me in the past and it was on an older forum and i saw that they were earning for it. At first i approached the person and later when they did not heed my words i approached the admin.

Well I do believe that iIf the member of your forum posts copied content, you can simply give him warning first If someone has copied content and posed on other site, you can ask the site owner to remove the content. This is the best way to deal with content theft.

There are some countries where plagiarism is punishable by law and you can file a lawsuit against the plagiariser and the plagiariser could be persecuted as well.
