Starting a small business

Starting a small business in Nigeria has never been easy considering what you’d have to go through to raise business capital towards setting up and running a profitable business. Basically, it’s all about money money money! No Bank in Nigeria is willing to help small scale businesses, and Government seems to have no plan whatsoever for the citizens who needs business start up capital.

If you are contemplating any business, you are on your own if you don’t have enough money to finance it. The worst part of it all is that most potential profitable small businesses in Nigeria needs much amount of money to get it started — most times, far much beyond what average Nigerian small business aspirants can afford.
Starting a business does require quite a substantial capital investment from your side however if you do not have the capital investment you can create a solid business plan and then promote or present this to certain companies that could potentially invest in your business as well.

I said most businesses not all businesses. It is a thing of joy to be able to own something that you can call your own, no matter how small it is. Wanting to start a business big is what makes some people to end up not having any business to their name up to this moment.
What will be the need for people to take a serious stress to start a small business when the profit will be so small, is it is also the same stress that will be needed to run a big business which the profit will be better.

Starting a small business is not that easy because there is no business that easy to handle, before starting any business you must have experience on it.

As for me starting a small business is such a good thing and also good idea but it's not easy here in my country here in Nigeria because same area you are when they start seeing it that you making sales you will start seeing different people going into the business in same area
That is because they are envious of your sales. They also would want to earn the same. For example, the bakery that was first situated in our place has a lot of customers when it was the only one selling bread. But when more bakeries opened, the first one became the last in sales.

For you to be able to run a small business you need to be really careful and also be up and running small business are easy to collapse so you need to I'm a financial backup in case you are business need some financial assistance

A small business usually needs a small capital. When the business collapses it is not much of an issue because the capital was small which means you lost small money only. But you can try again if you have the enthusiasm because a small business is easy to start up.

It is not the same capital that will establish the two types of businesses. Whereas, the stress level of a small business is by far different from a big business. There are certain comfort that comes with running a big business which you might not be able to afford when you run a small business.

For those who have big businesses today they surely must have started from the small business and grow to be that large and that is how we face

I believe this statement doesn't go with everybody, we both know that some people in the same country. can start a business with a twinkle of an eye with less problem.

This may be true to some extent but I'll personally like to save all the money to start up my dream business at once and for all, I know it is going to be stressful and difficult especially if I don't have a way to raise enough money.

The situation and condition is much similar in Pakistan. Pakistan is a good place for rich people only. The poor and medium class people always struggle in here. The country is suffering from inflation problem, but I can only hope that Pakistan will soon become a developed country.

It depends on your ability to raise the capital that will be enough to starts the business on time. The longer it takes to raise capital for a business, the higher the prices of the things needed to start the business becomes, making it difficult for you to meet up.

Starting a small business is better than not doing anything at all,it should be what your passionate about, it increases the chances of success.I believe ones you have gotten the business you are passionate about, location should be one of your priorities.
It is very easy for you to start up a small business because small businesses require a lot of capital you can start off with a small capital and you grow big.

Going into small business in Nigeria ,you have to be courageous and be strong to make the business more wide. Also you have to sort for capital your self because in Nigeria no government or individual even banks are ready to grant loan unless you have a strong backup
The business environment in my country Nigeria it's very saturated and quite difficult for people to be able to meander and make it because the business environment is so difficult as the current government is not business-friendly at all.

Nigeria does not create a favorable environment for small scale business to thrive. There are numerous fee to be paid by anyone who wants to start a small-scale business in Nigeria. Funds are not also for the entrepreneur who are ready to engage in setting up business.
I think this thing that Nigeria has started doing for most businesses by not creating good enabling business environment for most businesses to thrive started from This administration and I hope and believe that it will come to an end when this administration leaves office.

Starting a business at all is not an easy task one must say. Be it a small business outfit or a big business outfit. One need the required capital to go into it which is not easy in itself to come by this days

It's actually easier and faster to start up a small business than a big one especially when one isn't financially buoyant enough, starting from somewhere is very important.

I also recommend people to start small businesses first. So if someone have huge amount of capital, they should only invest a small portion of it. And when the business start to show positive outcome, after that only they should invest rest of the money.

I will start with the banks not willing to help a small scale business with funding because they believe the business is not worth loaning money, but they don't actually remember that big business today start from scratch.

That style of a start up is like a training session. Starting small to learn the business on a hands on mode is a wise move. When the business grows you can add more capital for expansion. On the other hand when the business fails you close shop and think of another business to open.

Thinking about the negative side of a business won't let you start. The fact is that if you are using governments as am excuse, you will still have yourself to be blamed because it is your life and not government. So, start with what you have now.
Surely there is always a negative side in every business but if you continue to think in such manner. You may never start up any business
