Yes I agree that having someone that is an expert in that field is not a bad idea because it will give additional ideas and insights of what to do that will help you and your business. It's just that maybe it's not free.

You do not need to hire an expert and give him extra salary. You should to write your own planning, and strategy, it will give you a lot of confident and will also enhance your experience. So you will be an expert after some time. If you haven't enough time and do not want to write yourself then you can hire.

Yes you can write your own business plan because your are well known about your business. First you have to know your research about your business then take other step. You can write about your business other than an expert.
 
The business is yours, you know exactly what you want, on how you want to go into, you know what you are aiming for, so if you know what you want and you know how to write a business plan I don't think it is necessary to get someone else to do that for you.

It’s advisable you employ the services of a professional if you don’t have the skills. Creating a good business plan requires some level of experience and skills. Also preliminary investigations and researches are going to be carried out so it’s best advised to use a professional
 
If you know how to write the basics of your planning then why would you hire an extra person for nothing and will pay him extra money. But if you have not time to do so them you can hire any expert . But my suggestion is this just try yourself, and will become an expert soon. So don't worry
