I do not think that this disadvantage in giving out free gift because it is one of the ways to market your product and services. The only disadvantage is when you do not plan it out well because it may affect the finances of the business.

This might not be the best marketing strategy especially for start-up businesses as the sole aim is to make money ultimately.
It might sound good, but you might want to consider making promo's as it would be friendly to you the entrepreneur and your customers

Creating a day to offer free product to the customers should be done occasionally and it is one of the ways to keep marketing your product and services. Some stores would do this on a weekly basis. It depends on the budget of the company.

Giving out free gift is not what should be done every time because it could run the business down . It is like doing marketing because if you go to the media or better still online, to make advertisement, you will pay and it is another way to advertise your product and services.

In my own opinion , giving out free products can only be done by big companies and organisation that have more than enough , because giving out free product might affects small business .

Giving out free product does not mean you will give expensive products to people instead anyone who buys a product to a certain level then you will give him or her a gift. Of course when you give expensive products out, you will make a lot of losses.
