Of course, one advantage with an affiliate is the fact you got credibility. I mean, it's tough to get it and with an affiliate thing, you already got it. Now, you realize it could take months or years to gain credibility, right? What might be some shortcuts?

Now, with the other situation, you may not have credibility, but you keep all the income coming in, minus taxes. In fact, the affiliate thing comes as a price cause nothing is free, of course. Do you all feel that's a reasonable cost? Well, in my opinion, it's all about time. If you can handle a couple of years to gain credibility, then it would be worth the time, but then again, perhaps you could make as much money as some credible web hosting company, simply by being an affiliate. In fact, maybe you could make more. It's really up in the air to a degree.

Finally, who has had experience with being a hosting affiliate and/or being a web hosting company? What is your take on the situation? Who is simply interested in one and/or the other? What might be some challenges? What might be some ways to rise above the situation?
