Are the qualifications needed to start a business or become a freelancer online? Maths and English are the basics you need, and any other qualifications will depend on the type of work you're planning to go into. I have the essential ones, and a couple of computing certificates too.

Yes English compulsory in any business because we can communicate worldwide through English and as u say maths is in this important to calculate baduc details and now a days computer is also very necessary subject to earn good income

Yes I totally agree with you, on one of the primary qualifications that keep me a bit isolated from becoming self-employed in this area. I am not fluent in English, although I have a background in math which helps, and my training in other areas of entrepreneurship but it is not all that is needed.

I think it's all depends on the kind of business you are starting up.. There many entrepreneur who lack academic qualifications and their businesses are doing ok.. but then for others English could be essential to the grow of the business because it's a universal language.

I can said yes qualifications is needed at most time while other times they are not needed, you have also specified it that it depends on the type of business you are going into. English is needed in any type of business in the world, mathematics would also be needed if the business need calculation and is not all business that mathematics will be needed. For the type of writing work or online freelancers writing skills are prioritized over speaking, I think Maths is less necessary for freelancers, better college education with insight and experience, and computer skills are also very necessary.

Yeah , English really matters along with your writing skills. Here in Bizdustry we are able to chat because of our good typing skills and if they aren't upto expectations then people have to find somewhere else.

As far as Business is concerned, qualifications is not compulsory to have as start illiterate in my country can become big time business tycoons as business management is mostly an unborn skills.

I believe that a person does need education and training if he or she wants to become a freelancer. However, a person can still work as a writer if he or she has some command over English language. I am not a native English speaker, but I have still worked for some content mills and ad revenue sharing websites in the past. I used to work as a "non-native" English speaking writer, actually.

It's depend on the online work you are doing, if its just freelancing ! All you need is the universal language which is English language and you must be good at typing, but if it has to do with calculation (online teaching), then you need mathematics and other requirements.

As far as I'm aware you really don't need any qualifications or course to be successful. You just need the right attitude and drive. Whilst some basic English & Maths education is important to function (yourself), no formal training is needed. Unless that is, you're going into a very specialised and technical field where you may need to do some kind of formal training.

It all depends on the type of job wile you stated. Some professional jobs requires certification and some other requires basic maths and English knowledge, sometimes If you can speak and understand English you are good to go. It all depends on the job type.
