Process for dealing with Graphic Design clients?

My process is to throw every single prototype I can think of that my client might want at them and let them decide what they want.

I think it is important to understand the client's needs and expectations and to gather relevant information about the project first. After that, creating a detailed project proposal and contract, and then presenting the design concepts to him/her to seek feedback is essential too. Then, the design shall be revised based on the client's inputs. Finally, approval should be taken before delivering it. Providing ongoing support and communication throughout the project can also be a great sign to the client.
