From the perspective of ownership i think the most risky businesses are

Hosting or advertising gambling or betting sites is extremely regulated and can quickly slip into the illegal category, putting proprietors at tremendous danger.

Spam mailing services - Would be considered unlawful in the majority of nations

I think that trading in cryptocurrencies and Forex market is the riskiest business i have ever known. You may never know when the market will crash at any time.

Trading is absolutely different from gambling. If one enters with the mindset of making money according to luck and not chasing the skill first, that's is really gambling.

I have more than once here people compare trading with gambling and I gave them this very example as the difference and similarity between the two. It depends on how skilled you're that would depend if you're gambling or not.

That's just it, alot are impulsive about making money without learning the skill and they end up losing because they make emotional decisions . They are usually the ones that end up with the notion that trading is gambling.

The most risky business that I know to Wich people from my area suffered lost is transporting tomatoes and chilli form the northern part of Nigeria to the East. On the way they get rubbed and if not transported within a day the tomatoes will spoil.
