That is also true. That’s why the TOU is already prepared for such matter. Anything you post on a forum, is property to the forum. It has always been that way. Don’t post anything personal you don’t want to post. Want something removed? Edit your post and delete it yourself.

That’s how I do it. 😃

You can only edit and delete a post within a particular timeframe though, unless you are a staff member.

Which is what I usually do. In fact, I remember one time a user explained to me they didnt want to be tracked by their ex wife - and it turned out just changing their username was good enough to satisfy that.

I don’t think a lot of users realise they can request a username change to admin even if they don’t have permissions to do so themselves.

Although the flaw is that the username in posts where said user is quoted does not change.
