You can map a custom domain to your Blogger account to create a custom domain website on Blogger. This is an economical way to create a website without spending any money on hosting, you just a domain. By maping your domain with your blogger account, instead of operating under a blogspot subdomain, your website assumes its distinct domain identity while leveraging Blogger's hosting infrastructure. This method is good for those who want a website but cannot afford hosting expenses, and also for those who want a low cost website but do not want to use a subdomain. Even though maping a domain with Blogger has a lot of advantages, this also comes with certain limitations. One of the greatest disadvantage related to this is Google will have control over your website, with the potential for deletion if you breach its rules. Additionally, your website will display the Blogger logo as the favicon, and without custom favicons, visitors will know your website is running on Blogger account. Likewise, when it comes to creating website, Blogger is not the best platfor as there are fewer options for customizing as Blogger provides a limited selection of themes. Notwithstanding these limitations, it can be a practical solution for those who want a website but cannot afford to buy a hosting.

The rules for Blogger and WordPress.com are actually very lenient. In fact, only material that is obviously illegal or of some political extremist nature will get you banned.
