When you market through email, you really want to be more personal with it. Instead of sending a pre-written message with some changes to associate with them, write a more personal email to that company, service, person, etc. Put in details about their company, what you like and respect, and so on. Basically wine and dine them with words so that they will listen or pay attention. As well, using a template to send emails to everyone, will likely catch spam filters as well, so make it unique for the person you're reaching out to.

I do not do email marketing these days, but I have tried email marketing in the past and I had to give up because the traffic was pretty low and conversion was none. You need a big email list to make money through email marketing.

To advertise you have to enroll on admailers and advertise, there are temporary gmail name providers like Gmailnator to prevent having your personal gmail but make sure gmail generated don't include +.
