Okay, you decide to make a forum, you are all hyped but there are steps to follow before you publish your own forum. Let me tell you my concept.

1. Come up with name
2. Come up with domain name
3. Creating a structure of forum (categories and forums)
4. Redesigning the basic theme
5. Adding some basic interesting features
6. Opening several topics so that new members have a place to talk
7. Advertise, advertise and advertise

Okay, that's my process, what about yours?

Anytime I decide on a forum, I have a desire to accomplish something. I usually come up with a concept or theme but the name depends on what domains are available. I will make the logo first after that and then I will set everything up on the forum itself after choosing a theme if I decide to buy one.

I will come up with a name and then register the domain with my chosen name. If I don't find the domain I am looking for, I will try to check if an alternative name will be available. My next step involves choosing the right software. Since I do not have funds for premium software, I will choose between the open source forum software. Once I have chosen the script, I will install it. Since I already have hosting plan, I do not gop on searching for a web host.

It is this seventh option of advertisement that I take very seriously when it comes to the preparations that I make before launching my forum. This is exactly what is going to make it possible for the community to get more sign ups when I launch it. This is so that there will be a consistent traffic and activity on the platform.
