Have you created multi language website?

Have you ever created a multi language website? How did you create it, by using an add on that translate the website content on multiple languages or publishing multi language content? Was it a successful project?

This is not something I see often at all, I know of one site that I know offers multiple languages and the options are English or Turkish I believe but that is the only site that I know of that offers that and the site is XenTR which is a Xenforo addon and theme site.

Would be great to hear from others who do offer this.

I've been using forums for years but in all my years, I've not come across any community with multiple language or different sections dedicated to a specific language. I've seen and used ones that are not run with English language but I can use my Google translate extension to access the site in English language.

I only speak English and I would hate to rely on a translator to make posts in other languages, so I only offer English on my websites. I would be afraid that the translation would be poor, because Google Translate isn't that accurate.

If your primary language is English, you might never want to create multi language website. But if you speak a couple of languages and want to offer your website to those who do not use English language, creating a site in multiple language can be helpful. I once was running a news site, and was running the site in two languages, English version was for global version and Nepali version was for the people in my home country.
