Since you called it a small business, I'd say you should start it on your own except you're still too short of funds and capital to go it all alone then you can talk of starting it up with a business partner. But if it where a business with huge involvement in capital expenditure, maybe you should go with a partner on it.

Starting big is really good if actually you have the capital because having enough you can actually think of going into bigger one, I know starting with bigger one you can start making good profit from the business.

I will agree with you. Just like you said, nothing should limit you from starting big as long as you have sufficient capital and a good business plan. Those two factors are very important to the success of any business.

I'm never a good fan of business partnership because some people can't be trusted with the business running. I can't risk my money at all with someone I can't trust as a partner.

Partnership is a good form of business and it has its own advantages. However, I understand the points you raised. Most business partners often end up quarrelling over key decisions and this will affect the business adversely.

Presently , even if I need to engage in a partnership business , I wouldn't even have anyone to partner with because most of my friends are not also ready to start up a business. Well I can't really say much about them because I don't know their intention but I am just believing so .
