Is a domain's worth also based on its age?

An old domain is only profitable if it has a good keyword that would interest another person who wants to start a website in that niche.
Alright,but don't you think if you buy old domain,it is going to expire on time,why don't you buy new domain so that it will last longer?

The age of a domain name can also affect the price and the marketplace. A domain name which has not dropped may attract high value in the marketplace. People are ready to pay a lot of money for a domain name that has a good SEO metric.
 
Yeah the age of a domain matters but it's only a tiny percentage in the grand schemeof things. Like it was highlighted earlier, what if the domain name was old but not profitable as in, not making any money - that would be a big disservice to the old name issue.
 
The value of domain lies on various factors such as the name, keyword, extension, as well as age. Aged domains are considered valuable in terms of SEO perspective. Aged domains also have traffic and backlinks
