In terms of general pages or blog posts, how often should the information be updated or changed to stay relevant?

I used to think it was fine to do this once a year but it seems as though it needs to be done more often these days.

Information on any page will be updated as soon as new information is gotten all to follow the recent trend. This is why it is important that you should always put the date of the last update.

The most simple answer to the question of how often you should update your website is: as often as it needs updating. Minor website updates might be made every day, whereas a full website revamp might come every two to three years.

Information in a page depends can be updated based on it uses, for example, a news should be updated every day so as to keep up with what is happening and keep users active on the site.

I mean in the sense of generally adding to pages and changing words. Even if nothing or no new information can be added. Should one just leave the page or post alone knowing newer posts are outranking them?

Whenever you feel the need for it to be updated or you have something new to offer. What I usually do is to be checking for ways to make the page look attractive and update information when I find out it can help grow my page as often as I can.

it depends again, if something important changes then you should change the information on the page so the clients won't be misleaded

I remember reading an article on a website. The website had a disclaimer that clearly stated that the information on the article might be old because it was published in so and so year. Updating articles is a great way to maintain your site.

That is what I was thinking. Also, there is a chance you are competing with news sites which constantly roll out new information so keeping your stuff more current helps.

You may need to stay updated with the latest trends in order to run a news website. There are many people who do run news websites and they even have to delete old article and pages.

For sure. I am not suggesting someone runs one but rather that they can be indirectly competing with them. Thinks of topics in the health sector for example. The news is always talking about health topics and if you run a health blog, you will likely be competing for traffic at some point with news outlets.

Actually information on any page of the internet is supposed to be updated almost all the time because that gives people more intrest and attraction of visiting the site for better information and knowledge.

Yes, I think that news sites need to get updates a lot as compared to a few other websites that belong to a different niche. i think that even the health website might need to get updated as well.

Anything dealing with the health industry for sure. Be it diets, medication, illnesses, or natural health. Things are always changing because studies are always being done!

I believe a year is too long to update a blog pages. The information on website and blog need to be updated regularly for the website to be relevant. To me, information on blog and website need to be updated at least every 4 month.

I think that you should write a disclaimer or a warning about the information on such kind of pages in case you are running a website where you must update the pages regularly in order to prevent confusion.

i believe informations on a blog or website should only be updated when the need arises, like when there is new information or you are adding new products or making a new rule or changes to your terms of use.

To keep up with the current trend, content on any page will be updated as soon as new information is received.
The date of the most recent update should always be included for this reason.
