How far would you tolerate your users fighting with each other?

I cam across many fights in my website and some of them are actually fun to watch. Well, I shouldn't say it out loud but fun fighting is good to watch in a way. However, if the users are actually insulting each other maliciously, only then I would step in.

What about you guys? How far would you allow your users fight with each other, before you take things into your hands? Will you give them time to compose themselves before stepping in and issuing a warning to them?

What would you do if they were to say that it's all part of a debate and nothing more? Would you tolerate such excuses? Or would you try to deal with them in your usual no nonsense way?

I admit watching people fighting is guilty pleasure if you have a forum it makes your forum a bit more alive but everything has boundaries and it shouldn't go too far ban them if it gets very bad

I agree with that but I only allow fun fights.

Something close to teasing between friends but nothing more than that. I always expect users in my forum to be polite to each other and avoid curse words, most of the time(they think it's childish to avoid curse words altogether but that's just me being me).

So, they try to come up with smart remarks to fight against each other and that's just fun to watch however, these days my website is dying and I don't get to see such fun fights anymore :(

I am definitely going to be having zero tolerance for any kind of behaviour that is going to be destruct in the workplace culture. I will want people to settle their problems very fast.

I'll admit that watching people fight is a guilty pleasure. If you have a forum, it makes it feel a little more lively, but everything has limits, so you shouldn't let it go too far. If it gets really bad, you should ban them.

I would only allow fun fighting on my forum. If it gets more serious than that, then i would definitely step in and issue a warning to the staffs involved in the fight.

I wouldn't tolerate it in anyway or level whatsoever. The internet space has become so toxic, I don't know the extent to which people will go especially in this tech era where people can take these fights offline even.

People should have good manners with each other because a good environment for working needs peace, without peace and good manners it would be difficult to continue.

I will develop a zero tolerance to my users fighting each other after a first warning given to them. rules are supposed to be made and the violations of such rules, requires sanctions which most be done to everyone.

i would not separate them from fighting as long as it has to do with them voicing out there different opinions without insulting one another, i would only intervene if they start insulting each other.

Conflict is part of life and I believe that it is difficult to eliminate conflict in humans.
As for me, I would warn them before trying to figure out the next line of action.

I once had two people fighting over certain issue through comments on ky blog. When they fought through comments, the article managed to get more than 1000 comments and not a single comment was a spam. I did get a lot of taffic and managed to earn really well. Some times, things like these are really good for your website
