How do you deal with overtime work for more than 30 days?

I would simply not work for such kind of company. I have worked for such sort of company in the past that tried to take advantage. However, I ended up leaving that company.
The truth is that one might not really be able to spot out such companies at first, not until one has become a victim of such company. I believe one should leave such company as soon as one notices it.

Working in an environment which can take your time all through the month is not easy. Apart from physical stress I think there might also be emotional damage and stress. Which Is not suppose.

There is something that most employers do not really understand, the fact that you need your work to move faster, does not mean that you should overstretch your workers, this will actually slow the work.

Dealing with overtime work in an organisation is not something that happens every time , it only happens when you have a target to reach and its just for a period of time , and in that particular time , you have to increase the wages of your workers .

My normal working hours are 10-12 hours every day. I might not be working 10-12 hours during the weekends or holidays, however, I continue to work even during the weekends and holidays. I have never encountered any issues with over working.

Yes you're right by saying this, I am a type of person that don't want to be working over time, but I think it will be better when the company will set aside special amount of money meant for those that usually work overtime.

I think that in a situation like that, the best thing to do would be to seek the attention of your employer about what's happening and how best to put a stop to it. If they are going to increase your pay then it might be a good solution for you.

it does not make sense to even work for such a company. They are just using you in order to make profit for themselves without any kind of reward. That is not a good idea.

Well, working for a company that does not pay may definitely not make sense. A company that underpay its employees should also be avoided as well if you ask me.

Probably, people should always value their time and that way they will not work for companies that underpay them. Underpayment can make you waste all your energy on something that is not productive.

I don't think i can work overtime and not get any extra pay. If at all i'm to work overtime, then i have to be paid for all the stress i'll pass through during that period.

Even though the goal is to make money from my work but it is not something that I'm going to overstretch in a way that is going to be detrimental to my health because I will be the one that is going to suffer on the long run.

I don't even do overtime. When I was working for someone, I made it very clear that my life is all about time. The closing time on my appointments letter is when I leave whether the organization closes or not.

This is where going for a strike becomes so necessary. You just come together as employees and do a "go slow" or walk out of the workplace. The boss will probably listen if all employees are striking.

I'll simply stop giving my overtime to the company - if they're not willing to compensate my sacrifice then I might as well withdraw and market to others who'll utilize my services.
Giving my time to such a company is not worth it as I know they would not hesitate to let go of me if I do anything wrong and so I would seek to work in other companies.

Exactly. I know most of us aim to make money but we should learn to put our health first. We shouldn't over stress ourselves just because of money.

This is why most people detest working for other people, Most of these Bosses are toxic and are not very good with organization. What was the agreement before you accepted the job? If she fails to comply with the agreement, Then it is best to stop working for her .

Did you agree on terms penned down and singed before resuming that work? That's why you don't start any job without your conditions of service being explicitly stated in your appointment letter. If it is me, I would call her to a meeting where we would recap the terms of engagement.

I cannot work in such environment because the stress will not be here. I will not even accept a job in which Saturday is also included. I can't come and kill myself for anything.

This is exactly the same way I feel about working in any company because I will never do what is my health will suffer for because I am working for a company that will always replace me the moment something to happen to me or that I drop dead.

Recently I have experienced this. Working for more than 12 - 14 hours a day is a bit too much. I couldn't even take lunch breaks and such and yet, my manager refused to pay us overtime payment.

All she said was 'You just can't expect extra payment for a handful of overtime days. You need to help the project when it needs your guidance'. If you need the so called 'help' shouldn't you give the appropriate compensation as well? We fell sick after that and had to recuperate quite a bit. I don't get why she chose to ignore things that could actually help her team (it's in her hands after all).

If you can't pay overtime, even that is fine. However, let the employees take some time off instead. Is that too much to ask? How do you guys deal with it?
It really sucks, that's why if you have a skill set starting up your business will be a good idea,a lot of people are not getting this right, working under someone is really hard.

We are working to make end meet at our place of work , so if We are working overtime for a good one month and we are being paid for all the extra work , I think its better than not getting paid at all

I quit actually. I could earn enough money if I spent that time working online, with almost less than 90% of the expenses. After calculating the value and my mental and physical health, I chose to be self employed online.
