How can a manager enforce discipline at workplace?

It is proposed as a business principle that the relationship between an employer and an employee should be a cordial relationship in the workplace.
The employer must not be stuff, he must be able to answer his workers in a calm and polite manner, this can lead to a very conducive work environment.
With this calm disposition that an employer or a manager is expected to maintain, how can he enforce discipline in the workplace?

The manager should be able to differentiate it features to the workers to understand their various roles and responsibility to pleasure. These following ways is required to execute discipline to workers.
- Disparity between pleasure and responsibility
- Give accurate order when it comes discharging of duties
- Assess the staffs effectiveness
- Make report and give feedback on staffs behaviors

The manager is not a day job thing
But coming to enforce discipline a manager has to drop sentiment
Stop been biased and also shun all act of misconduct
All this can be achieved by setting down rules and order in work place
And placing punishment on those rules
That is my opinion though
 
A manager can enforce discipline in slot of ways, but he needs to start from himself first, he has to be disciplined and also be a very good example to follow by all, if the manager is disciplined his work in enforcing discipline will be minimal, he has to strictly abide by the companies rules and regulations too
 
Enforce zero tolerance for any action that is not approved in your workplace.
Suspend or sack misbehaving employees.
Reward hardworking employees with promotion.
There should be rules and regulations to follow in your work place.
 
Regularly communicate with your staff
You won’t be able to establish discipline in your office with closed doors. Employees should feel comfortable sharing their grievances with you whenever they arise.
Communication is the soul of any organization. It is basically the most important aspect of any business. Prioritise communication above anything else. Make sure everyone know that you are more than willing to listen to anything he or she has to say. The communication is a Two-Way Street, your employees need to know that you are an open-minded person.
 
As an employer of any business initiative, he or she ought to initiative principles ethics guiding his or business. Also trying to build a fine and respectful relationship with his employees will give the business/company a boost to reach more levels. Because both parties will be working hand in hand to drive the affairs of the business corporately.
 
First , the employer needs to live by example through treating his employees with love and respect . Secondly , he needs also to establish rules and regulations guiding the operations in the company ,in order to control employees through it
 
As an employer, you have to practice what you preach. A dishonest doesn't expect honesty from his employees. You have to back all your principles with actions. And learn how not to compromise lest you are portraying a bad leadership quality.
 
Maintain the discipline is not the responsibility of a single person. There should be good cooperation and coordination among the all staff members for discipline and principles. It is highly recommended that there should be discipline in the business sides.
 
That statement is not to be taken too literally. Neither is it to be viewed in isolation. While an employer should be firm and assertive, they should also be polite, professional and fair. If your employers view you as weak, they'll push the boundaries until you lose all control of the whole situation. Don't dance around issues, be straight down the line and haul them over the coals if they are bang out of order. By the same token, normalise rewarding and praising them when they do well.
 
As manager of a company, the first thing to have in which to control staffs is self discipline.
Manager must be disciplined to be a sample for others staff. During duty he must work as a competent manager, he plays with staffs a little and work with them properly.
 
The foundation of every company should be discipline. And this should be in place right from the start of the business. As a manager of a co-operation it is your responsibility to ensure there is orderliness and discipline in the work place. First he should start by setting rules and regulations and announcing it to everyone in the organization. The rules and regulations should come with penalty for any one who violate the rules. Once one or two persons has been punished the rest will sit up and work effectively.
 
I agree that a manager should be mild when talking about the performance or for a mistake or misdemeanor in the workplace. Diplomacy never fails, as the saying goes. However, I have encountered stubborn employees who would be defying the manager in spite of the polite reprimand. In that case the weapon is suspension. If the employee is suspended for a day that means he lost an income for 1 day and the succeeding suspension can be one week that can lead to termination.
 
First of all I must say that business should not be in anyway mixed with emotions, even if your employee is your blood brother from same parents it would do you a lot of good when you discipline him if he goes against any of the company rules, that way other employees would get the fact that you have zero tolerance for bullshit.

There must be hard fit rules in order to maintain discipline in an area, and also build good relationship with all employees you can do that by appreciating them due to their hard work in this way they will work more hard to get more appreciation from you
 
Discipline is relates to training employees so they could abide by the code of conduct. Without rules, employees might be inclined to do what they what, and that's you need to clarify each and every department stating their functions
 
First of all does the manager discipline him self before putting laws or trying to discipline his workers, does the manager show good example to other workers, is the manager encouraging them to work more and make them happy, hope the manager not dating any of the staff calling her my daughter, so if the manager not doing all this things then I think he as the write to enforce discipline on is workers without any problems
