Does anyone here hire an assistant to help with their smaller tasks? I am considering it, as I could use some extra help with small tasks. I tend to forget about the smaller things as well, so I think it's time.

What are your thoughts on hiring an assistant? Would you ever do it?

Well as a small business owner I can't afford an assistant presently so I rely on the services of apps and computers like to do ist which reminds me on my appointments or things I need to do, but if you can afford to hire one, by all means go ahead. Ensure the business can sustain an extra pay roll

Since it's a small task, it's better you just run the business alone to avoid spending extra money that would be used to hire the assistant. If you forget things easily, always write them down, you can have a book where you write that your to do list for that day or a diary, anyone that would be convenient for you. But if you have other businesses that you are managing then you can get the assistant.

If you're business is a broad one, with complex tasks, which you can't handle all alone. You should hire an assistant to assist your share your duties and makes you to accomplish your daily business tasks on time and very effective too.

If your business is not big or make a large sum of profit I think there is no need for assistance unless if its restaurant.if you are operating a small scale business how will you pay the assistant at the end of the month when you are not making enough sales. So to hire an assistant you have to be sure that you making enough sales and the salary of the assistant won't affect the business when you pay

An assistant will take notes at important meetings in addition to their other responsibilities and can act as a central hub of company communication. This resource is incredibly beneficial when dealing with several clients, answering questions for prospects, and streamlining schedules within the company.

It depends on the business you are running, and since you said it is a small business , I think you should handle it alone but if its has branches and the work is sometimes tedious , it will be adviseable to hire an helper that will be assisting you with the job.

Your seeking an assistant simple means your business is doing well and that there are higher needs that makes you forget some lesser needs which in business, one needs to still pay attention to. So, your desire to acquire the service of an assistant is right. He would help in paying attention to the smaller tasks.

Especially in advanced stages of your business, you are likely to experience an influx in the business so it is not bad to get an assistant who will understand the business and trying to chip in and help when it is necessary to ensure the customer satisfaction.

I think hiring an assistant is necessary when someone is unable to handle or complete all the tasks for that day or a particular period of time. The disadvantages of not meeting up to target slows down the progress rates.

If the burden of the job is too much , there is no issue in hiring and assistant ,just to make the job more easier for you,and also help you do some certain areas you actually do lack much experience and training as spectacular tho

Hiring an assistant to to do smaller tasks is not bad at all provided you can afford it. We cant handle it all at some point in our career cause we tend to go higher not otherwise, so if you feel you need one then go it and please don't overwork anyone, assistants are humans too.

Its not bad , but many sees hiring assistant as a burden and could take over the little business they have , that is more reason they are planning in stopping the aspect if having more assistant

hiring an assistant is the best option when you are busy with so many things. Try and make sure it's a trustworthy person who won't take advantage of your being busy to cheat you.

Hiring an assistant is very important for a business and it also helps Business grow in the long run because if one person decides to face the Business by his or her self the outcome might not be too okay for the money already spent out

Hiring an assistant can be very helpful in your activities. Helping you keep tabs of daily activities. I strongly recommend an assistant as long as one can afford it. It will really go a long way in focusing on more important projects and leaving the small ones to the assistant to handle

I will also recommend getting an assistant because you can delegate your duties and know the area were you need to focus and specialise on ,if you are willing to make more money

Of course, as long as you have the need, it doesn't hurt to hire someone to help with those details that can be forgotten and hurt your business. The assistant should also be efficient, have everything written down so that the work flows positively.

If the business is growing and beyond the owner's control, the it will be wise to hire a trusted assistant, to help assist you to carry out the main functions of the business effectively and efficiently.

I have hired a lot of people to work on small tasks on micro job sites. I have also hired a lot of people via forums and freelance marketplace. Usually, I spend about $3k per year hiring assistants.
