Have you worked in customer service before?

I currently work as a customer service specialist and luckily for me, we work based on shift. The challenges include making sure you are up to date with the products, services as well as their prices, I also try not to get provoked at an aggressive customer, customers can be saucy, I also need to keep taking some online customer care courses for personal and career development, overall it has been interesting though a bit stressful, I also get to meet new persons everyday.

It's not difficult, I'll say it's demanding because you'll be dealing with the most complex of all - human beings. A lot of reactions, emotions and all.
So customer care representatives are usually patient and know how to communicate effectively. They're also good students of psychology.
 
I don't really think that I have the patience to work successfully as a customer service representative because I hardly take rubbish from anyone especially when I'm trying to be nice and the person will be over showing.

If you have a very calm personality, working as a customer service representative will be an easy task for you because you will know how to manage an angry customer.
 
I have not worked on customer service department but I have worked on sales department where I had to deal with a lot of customers and hear problems related the products we sold.
 
I've not worked in a customer service before but i feel it's not a difficult job. As far as one is receptive and accomodating, you are good to go.

I think this is also similar to some extent. Personally I have not worked ok customer service department before, but I know someone who has. According to him, it is not an easy jobs as most times they have to deal with angry customers who end up cursing and insulting them. They have to be patient and calm at all time. I believe you might have come across angry customers before?
 
I have never work with customer care service before. But I have opportunity in my workplace to attend to the customer one-on-one to hear the opinion about the business.
 
Working in customer care wouldn't be such an easy job imagine talking to several people online for a long time it would really be exhausting

Actually, we do not need to work in a customer service department in order to understand the importance of customer. Any logical person would assume the importance of customer service in any kind of business. I used to run a shop and I know this. :)
 
I have never work in a customer care service before, There are a lot of skills that is required before you are able to succeed perfectly in this area, you must be able to withstand a lot of things such as insult and also when people scream at you. People with understanding and accommodating attitude are able to succeed here.
 
The customer service unit is one of the most important units an organization must have. It provides a direct link to other departments in terms of delivering quality jobs and more. It needs to be handled well. But it is a difficult task to do.
 
I have never work as a customer care personnel before but I have a girlfriend who does that. She always complain of pains all over our head because she usually talk for 4 hours straight when she is on duty.
 
I have not worked in a customer service, but I have worked on front desk and one of my duties was to listen to complains and forward the complains to respective departments.
 
I have work in different sector of economy but I have never work as a customer care service personnel. The job is highly demanding. The job is not for a faint heart person and someone who can easily give up.

I have not worked in customer service before and I don't plan to work as one. I see it as a tedious task that needs a lot of patience and persuasive skill that I don't really have. There are some customers that can just frustrate life out of the customer service life. And you most not use harsh words on them.
 
Yeah, I've worked as a customer care agent. All what we did was to stand in for companies to recover loans that was collected by their customers.
I would like to hear your experiences while dealing with difficult customers. I mean like the ones who might refuse to pay despite all entreaties and pleas.
 
Well I have never done such jobs before but then I have friends who are into it and they always tell me about their experiences and from their stories I have been able to know that it is actually a very good job
