Well, I don't recommend counting profits so early in a new business. The profits should be channeled back into the business for more yield if there Is profit made. This will allow for stability and more reach. It will be able to withstand some fallout that may come from business problems.

Well you have a point here,but what if you are in a situation where the staff strenght and their input are very instrumental to how the outfit would move forward,are we still going to push them out,or reach an agreement on wage cut and unstructure salary scale.

Low patronage could be as a result of poor packaging, and poor advertising, poor attitude by the sellers, poor quality of goods. If the employer considers these problems and profer solution to them then he is one step to handling low patronage. A product that is not well packaged won't sell because it's how you package and present your products that makes customers pick interest in your product, and you still need to advertise your product in order to make the public aware of your products and the importance of buying and using your product, the product must be of good quality too so as to get people patronizing you, if all these are put in check and successfully handled but you still have poor approach to customers you would still experience low patronage because how you treat and welcome your customers determines how well the product would be sold, one with attitude problem will keep having low patronage until he changes for good and approach his customers in a welcoming way.

Yea or you could change your methods on how you go about advertising your business. I have seen most business change their designs as a way to attract new and old customers back again. It is also an effective method on most cases.
