Getting charged twice?

Have you ever paid for any transaction where it seemed that your first payment didn't go through and you tired it a second time before it went but few minutes later, you got double notification showing the first transaction actually went through?

How do you resolve such issues with your transaction payment?

I have once been charged twice and it was when I purchased something on Xbox. It came up with an error and like the payment had not gone through, I ended up trying it again only to then find out that after I restarted my game, not one but two came out and I had made two purchases and not just the one. A quick contact with Microsoft helped me get my money back and they were really helpful.
 
I have been in that shoe once and it was not funny as the person handling the payment wanted to deny that they got the money. I had to visit my bank to get a bank statement before he agreed to release my money to me.
 
This has happened to me before.
I contacted PayPal and they handled it quickly and well.
