Usually when I hear forum admins talk about their passion for forums, they're usually referring to the nostalgia of the 'golden days' of forums. We all loved forums back then.

Do you still have the same love and sense of belonging on current forums that you visit? Or did you love old forums more? (And what did you love most about that one special forum?)

I enjoy the current forums I visit on a daily basis of course, but I do wish I was online to truly experience the golden era of forums. I was there in the late 2000's when forums were still quite popular, and it was tons of fun to log into different forums that were super active. I still get that sense of belonging on the communities I'm active on. I feel that most people who use forums these days are more mature, and I can have more meaningful conversations on forums. Back in the day since everyone was using forums more than social media, there were flaming and obnoxious posts.

I fell in love with new forums. I like the new features and the themes that make posting on forums more exciting now. It is something that has really made me visit most forums nowadays. I believe that with current forums adopting some new features, users can feel the need to come around their forums most of the times.

I was someone who loved the older forums but I wouldn't say that I don't enjoy the newer forums now any less than I used to enjoy them years ago.

A lot has changed over the years with forums and people have come and gone but I still like the atmosphere of a forum more than say social media.
