I love the series and I am on book 5.

GOT ended with unexpected ending and they are now working on the second season of HOTD, which is a prequel of GOT. This is an old thread and it would have been really great if there were a lot of people discussing on the topic. IT would have been interesting to see what people were talking about the show when it was running.
