Facebook IS planning to change it's name to Meta

I am just coming across this kind of news for the very first time here. When I hear something like this I just laugh because it is clear that this is enemies or haters at work. They claim Facebook is driving people apart. Now the question is, how is Facebook driving people apart?. What a world!

Well it depends on how you look at it though, everyone are entitled to their opinion. Facebook was ment to draw people closer together, you could have a love one across the world yet you could talk with them anytime with ease, almost like they never left but these days alot of persons have become addicted to Facebook and other social media that they nolonger have a social life outside Facebook or social. I guess this is why some persons make such statement.

Facebook has changed name to meta, it is part of their upgrading to web3 internet services, in the next few years we might witness a complete change in how we interact with each other on the internet.

I don't know why they choose to change their name to meta but I hope they will improve for good, the platform is very good bin bringing people together from all over the world.

Wow, this is a really good thing. Imagine being able to talk to one's friends and loved ones in virtual reality but how come no one has mentioned this before. This is the first time i'm hearing about this.

I heard the news about Facebook changing to meta and I thinks it's a great idea seeing the features meta is bringing especially the crypto nft feature that would enable one earn.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg delivers the keynote address during a virtual event on Oct. 28. Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will rebrand itself under a new name: Meta. ... "From now on, we're going to be metaverse first, not Facebook firs

Facebook has already changed his name to meta. To be very honest I don't see the reason why Facebook needs to change its name. But this has created a lot of opportunity for people to make money with the name.

According to mark Zuckerberg, the name meta means change, the renaming was to signal that the company was branching out and linked to more than one product.

that's very true , Facebook will bring many people closer but I believe it has it own disadvantage,if the name of Facebook was changed many things will totally change on also.
One thing that I know very sure is that no matter what Facebook decided to change their name to it is not going to change their policies and operation because that long will always remain the same.

Personally I don't really care about what Facebook changes their name into because currently I am more into making use of Twitter and Instagram and they are serving me very well.

Yeah it's been done and updated across all their service, I think it's a good step though so Facebook wont be associated with all of them it's better this way as Meta would be the parent company

I think it is a great development. Facebook changing to meta, shows that Zuckerberg is looking beyond Facebook and Instagram success, the metaverse is going to be game changers, seeing as it is combining virtual, augmented and physical reality.

The name has already been adopted and there are lot of people who are making use this of opportunity. I know people who are selling meta domain names for a huge profit. I am also planning to register a couple of meta domain name to try my luck.

They will never really change the name from Facebook to any other thing but find a way to attach something like a logo to link up whatever thing they want to do to the social Media platform.

That's absolutely a gesture for another day. Facebook has not changed its name ever since this thread was posted. Facebook is an household name and it will be very difficult to change it.

Well at least it won't affect the social media , it is just a change of name and I don't see anything wrong with that if is really what suits their policy. Generally they have the right to do so. Let's wait to see because the haven't changed it yets

It seems that Facebook as given up on such ambition. They are currently retaining the household name. The name has gained lots of traction and it will be very difficult to change it.

I have never heard such news that Facebook is planning to change the name of their company to meta, because this is my first time of hearing these but is a great development.

I believe that this decision is something that has been long overdue and as such it is something that I have been expecting for a long time now. Facebook has been in the face of severe criticism and accusations by a lot of people and rebranding is definitely something to do to remove your face from the public.
