There are benefit to employee like holidays or breaks or some people called it leave. either maternity leave our annual leaves etc.

For me I see only Pros of Employees benefits and no cons, the welfare of an employee is very important and it helps with their productivity and commitment to the organization. If the company can afford to give extra perks then why not?
 
If your company makes just enough to give bonuses and stipends to workers. It is great. I am sure all staff would like it as it will foster more productivity. As an encouragement that your efforts are being noticed and your results are being rewarded. Way to go man
