Yes it very possible, presently a whole lot of people are using Whatsapp as their marketing objective through their status and it's working fine, especially for digital products, meanwhile it's been owned by Facebook so it's sounds like a good idea

Facebook is gradually realizing that people are beginning to drift towards social media platforms that are monetized and where they can receive money for time spend on them, if they don't start looking to monetize all their platforms, they will be in for a bad surprise.

Collecting information from WhatsApp means that soon we will start receiving ads when we open out WhatsApp.

These days I spend less time in facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.

Yes WhatsApp can be used for marketing and promotion of business but you have to need join groups.
According to my opinion Facebook is better option for promotion and development of business, because it contain massive traffic and you can share your product information without disturbing the privacy of people.

The question is, would the users then be able to choose if they want the advertising to happen on their account or will they instead be forced to view adverts based on the activity online and their Facebook account as the two are now being linked to one another? Absolutely this can be happen because there is too much help on WhatsApp to promote a real programming and for the business, it is very helpful for WhatsApp and I think that the possible thing.
