Do you notify members when you delete their posts?

It is be very important to always notify people when there posts are pulled down and also the reason for doing so. It saves them from committing the same error next time..

Exactly! For the fact that most of them are not even aware of the community's rules and regulations or Terms of Service, if they not pointed back to why a particular post or new topic they created was removed from the board, they will keep on repeating the same thing over and over again.

I buy into that, no one was born perfect. We always learn through our mistakes and errors as well. It is when someone knows his errors that he takes the correction to do better next time..

It's not about being imperfect in this case but about being negligent in knowing what's already put out there for you to know, then on the other hand, tampering justice with mercy in them know what they have done with caution.

I think you should notify why the post of some user was deleted, to know what was the mistake mainly and not to commit it again, if you simply delete the publication and do not leave a message it will be a bit confusing for the user not to know what happened

Yeah, it's definitely going to be a confusing especially when you don't use soft delete because there are some instances when some of those users check for their posts and when they don't see it, they will start asking questions because they weren't informed on why their posts was removed.

I am always adding a note to the box when I am deleting a post letting them know about the reason why I took such decisions. That is one way that you can correct them about the mistakes that they made while being hopeful that they will understand and make amendments.

It is always very important to make sure that there is a note added to any of their post when it is deleted because they will be notified for the reason why their contents have been deleted so that they are not going to make the same mistake again. When you want to keep record of what has been happening with their content creation, it is always going to be very easy for you to find out with the notes that you have been adding.
