Do you find it easy to edit the main Xenforo default theme?

Something I have been looking into just recently is whether I would be able to edit the main Xenforo default theme to something I would like to give my forum a more unique look.

I always remember it being quite easy to do years ago but a lot has changed with Xenforo over the years and now I haven't looked into doing it since.

Has anyone here edited the main default Xenforo theme? How easy did you find it and would you recommend it?

I do not use Xenforo, I have used phpbb, mybb and SMF. I have tried to edit default theme a couple of times. I am no coder and I had to search online looking for codes that I wanted to add on my forums. If you do not have programming skills, it is really difficult to edit themes.
