Do badges and trophies encourage you to post more on a forum?

This reminds me of a time ago when I would like to gamble on sporty bet than other bet sites because I got a trophy anytime I won no matter how little it was and u could even show case it.

Badge is a good way to know that a member is highly dedicated to a particular platform so for me I think I really like it and it's just to show off on the platform for others to know that you are a regular member

Yes badges and trophies encourage me as a person because each time I look at my profile and I see a growth makes me know and I'm not wasting my time that's one of the things that Ginger's me aside the money

It may be so to other people on the forums but what make me post on the forums is the quality of the thread and how my post can be of benefit.

I am pretty clear on this. I post on forums not to build my reputation, I am hear to learn, earn and share. I will continue posting on forums as long as I am rewarded for my content. However, I also believe in giving back, therefore, I always strive to create good content.

I am someone who likes personal achievements a lot and in as much as all these things do not mean something I actually look forward to the next one and they encouraged me to keep posting.

Although trophies and badges would be a good motivator to catch the attention of a site user but the main attraction is in what it offers that's what would determine if they will stay.

Yes, badges and trophies are a good form of encouragement to keep updating our work in the forum. Even if they don't have any value, it still represents our progress day by day and helps us to have a great feeling about our contribution. It also represents a good thought process by the forum owner to keep their members more engaged.

I think badges would give some privileges; Just like here on bizdustry, a VIP badge would give lots of opportunities from what I've read and discovered so far.
I'll definitely want to earn but at the same time, I aim at getting a top level badge

I think it helps having those options, as it incentivizes people into doing stuff on your forum. Just like back in the day when I ran a gaming forum. You could play games and air your high scores on your profile. And depending on your post count, you'll gain credit and stuff. Finding ways to give your users something, will keep them posting.

Those badges and ranks serve as motivation to some people and other really don't care. I guess I am kinda in between the two sets. A badge is cool but none wouldn't be an headache either.

I love them. I notice I got one of those little pink hearts today and it made me feel all warm inside! I asked this question somewhere else but most people said it makes no difference. I guess I'm just a big softie

You don't expect everybody to be the same, one mans food is another man poison. But to some extent i take it as an encouragement anytime I get any of it.
