As a busy business owner with good profit turnover who doesn't painstakingly check the bookkeeping records of his business but later discovered that the business had suffered a lot from the dishonesty of the staff by not remitting the actual daily sales to the proper accounts. But the same set of staff had been reliable and trustworthy in the past. In fact, they helped the business grow to that level. How do you discipline the staff or put them in check?

In this case, being in such a situation, he would have no problem in dismissing said personnel. Since although the staff has helped in the venture thanks to their work, they behaved dishonestly, and nothing can guarantee that they will return to that honesty, and trust is lost in its entirety.

You should discipline them very well. If you want your employees to be competent you must have zero tolerance for evils like theft and dishonesty. Suspending them or outright firing is totally okay in this case.

Dishonest staff is like a bad blood to the business , because one dishonest staff is like a bad egg it will surely affects others , such person can never work for the growth or betterment of the business and that will always set draw back the business in every step of the way .

There should be a stiff penalty for such action but if the offense that warranted penalty persist then it should be heralded by summary dismissal but before that , you need to shop for replacement through reorganization of the staff.

Dishonesty in the workplace may be categorized from employee theft, rude social media sharing, submitting incorrect time sheets, unethical conduct such as drug abuse or harassment, and lying to co-workers or managers. We need to discipline in a such manner.

In the worst cases, you can end up with a toxic employee on your team. This is someone who is political, difficult to work with, and in some cases, dishonest. The simple answer of how to handle dishonest employees is: get rid of them. A successful organization can have zero tolerance for dishonest or corrupt employees

If there is proof that an anomaly is happening in your business, especially with your dishonest staff, talk to them privately. then, Monitor them for a few days. Now if they still do that, maybe it's time for you to replace them.

You should talk to them what is the problem, why are they doing this to you? Do you get along with your staffs? Are you giving the right benefits on them? If there is no problem on your side maybe they should get warning or immediate firing is the best option.

There should be an evidence or it was caught in the act before doing some necessary actions. Regardless if the employee was trustworthy before, there will always be a thought that he became dishonest. Perhaps a warning and a suspension on its first offense, depending on the situation but I suggest to terminate the said employee if they keep doing it.

You can no longer admit those staff because they behaved well in the past, so for me the best thing l can do is to allow them work for the profit they have stolen and I then sack them for them to feel the pain of dishonesty.

Having a dishonest staff will automatically bring down your business for the fact that they helped in building and survival of said business does not mean that they should collapse the business. There is no familiarity in business do the necessity and move on.

If you haven't time then ask your son if anyone is free to daily check them and give him sallery for him work also or your anyother trustworthy main because due to this small amount of sallery that you will give to person whose duty is checking you can safe your business from a lot of lose or daily stealing of your money

There is no space in the business or an organisation for the dishonest staff. They should be struck out from the business and nevertheless give them any type of relaxing in the business. They should be scrutiny carefully.

When a staff is found to be doing a crime like stealing money from the company I don't think there is still a reason not to terminate that employee. In any kind of business, you hire people not only for the skills and talents or even the looks but also because you think that applicant can be trusted. When trust is lost then it is time to go. To avoid the repetition of the loss due to stealing you have to use a logbook. It is a big notebook with lines. The transactions are to be written consecutively with date and time and the description of the transaction. That will deter the staff from thinking of stealing money.

This mean that no body is trustworthy when your eye not on them.
In this kind situation you have to think wisely and make a right decision of your best choice. As for me, I will advise you to warn them not do such again as far that they had helped your company before and this time around you have to be monitoring your business well.

In this case the dishonest employee should be suspended to set example for the remaining ones.
In business and in such situations the owner of the business should not tolerate those kind of behaviors no matter how good the employee was good in the past, once he has messed up the trust is lost and it is hard to gain it back

No doubt dear your point is very valid about dishonest staff because due to this the whole business may crash down. Dishonest staff is like a bad blood to the business , because one dishonest staff is like a rotten egg it will surely affects others , such person can never work for the growth or betterment of the business and that will always set draw back the business in every aspect of the business.

This is a critical issue that demands a critical examination. Since you claim the set of staff were not like that people and they had many sacrifice for the business to grow, sacking them just like could be cruel on your part. Rather, you can meet with them on a one on one conversation to know the why their sudden change towards the business they've once laboured for.

Dishonesty is a red signal for me, once I noticed this from my staff and it is verified with reasonable proof, the next thing should be a query and call to order for the staff to readjust for which if this is not done dismissal might come in
