The difference between marketing and sales is not too clear to identify but marketing has to do with all the techniques you deploy to reach and meet the interest of your business and customer while sales has to do with you selling your product to your customer at agreed amount.

To my understanding the term sells is the transformation of goods in to money while marketing is the method of serving to satisfy your customers need. marketing process includes the planning of products and services, promotion, price and distribution.

Sales has alot to do with the transaction with cash and receipt and aalso all those things that has alot to do with credit sales. So whatever that has to do cash has alot to do with Sales whirl marketing is the process of introducing the goods and services. Alot to do with marketing.

Marketing refers to raising awareness about your product and pursuing people to buy your products. Sales refers to the act of actually selling your produdct to the right customer. This is the big difference between the two things.

Simply put, i think sales has to do with the buying and selling of your goods to make profit while marketing has to deal with the strategy and plans put in place or carried out to make sure you attract more customers

Sale
The both selling and marketing are relate but they are bit different in terms of function in a business. Marketing is a process of Promoting of a product other service and to a customers and pursue a customers to buy product. While selling is the process of exchanging of product and money in which that customer take product and give money to seller.
Sales is the resultant effect of marketing in business. When a company perform a quality marketing of its product through different means, when they get in return if the marketing is effective is sales. Sales actually occur she customers begin to purchase the product being marketed.

The difference between sales and marketing is that sales focus on working directly with prospects to get them to convert, while marketing focuses on sparking interest in your products. Essentially, marketing is the first step to getting leads interested, while sales take that interest and nurture it.

"Numerous entrepreneurs experience the ill effects of low Sales and poor quality communication with Staffs and financial investors," said Rich Dad.
"If a business has solid, top notch Marketing, the sales will come without any problem. But if the business has feeble Marketing, the organization should invest a great deal of energy and cash, and make a solid effort, to generate sales."

What do you believe is the contrast between both?
The two words are like the car steering and the car tire they both work together and one cannot survive without the other. If marketing produce good result it will be felt on the sales of the business. Any organisation should first put more efforts on the marketing of the company which will help promote it sales.

Sales and marketing are two main function of business.

That is why one of the reasons for the things to look out for before starting a business is market strategy, for whom to produce, and marketing and advertisement helps selling the company and it's product to the market.

Sales are the actual activities of people buying your products or services while marketing on the other hand, is the actual campaign process for those goods to make sales

The term, sales, refers to all activities that lead to the selling of goods and services. ... And marketing is the process of getting people interested in the goods and services being sold. Sales is a term used to describe the activities that lead to the selling of goods or services.
That is true.I see the concept of Branding as a form of marketing as they are ment to create an impression in the minds of potential customers. And when that conversion occures then we say a sales has taken place. They need to see and be aware of something first before making a move which is sales.

Marketing has to do with the activity of presenting, advertising and selling of a company's products. While sales has to do with the income ( at invoice value ) received for goods and services over some given period of time.

When you're selling your product someone can come into your shop to buy it and they pay you, but if you are doing marketing you are just taking out your product to a location that can easily be accessed by people to sell.

The difference between marketing and sales lies in how close you are to converting a potential customer to an actual customer.

Marketing encompasses the strategies you use to reach new leads and generate interest in your business. It should have measurable benchmarks so that you can judge which marketing choices are cost-effective and produce results. Depending on your business.
Selling and marketing do not really have basic difference there almost me the same thing because when you are marketing a product is as if you are also selling the product but most times people see selling as transaction that involves money and marketing just involve selling the products image.

Marketing is a series of activities that results in the sale of a product or service. While sales is the actual sale of a product or service.

You can sell a lot of things on Facebook. But the things I know that are more common are Clothings and phone accessories.

Marketing promotes sales. Businesses with good marketing strategies normally have good sales from the marketing because it exposes the business to large audience.

Nice one, we need to understand that both of them are different words with different meaning and we should not get confused about, marketing might involve advertisement but selling is just buying of goods and paying with money.
