How do you deal with someone who blatantly copied your site nearly down to the T? All the way down to the theme your site uses then plays it off like they weren't trying to completely rip off your site and have the guts to actually register on your site to ask you for help on how to achieve a certain thing?

I guess I should be flattered someone wanted to copy my work but in all seriousness, it's just really annoying. What's the best way to deal with this?

One way to deal with copycats of such nature is to take a legal measure to reach your case is being addressed maturely and in a way that the law deems it fit. If found guilty punishments are stated out clearly for such offences

I use wordpres to build my websites. If someone uses the same theme on his website, the website will look similar to mine. This is not an issue of copying.

It's important that before running a website, have your business registered, that way you can copyright your contents and whoever steals it can be charged to court.

Only if you can truly provide evidence that he’s making use of your ideas or your work to set up things for himself then you can legally sue the person copying your work

Contact the site owner first and get them to take it down or change it. Failing that find out their web host and report them so they can take them down. You can also report them to Google through Search Console to have them blacklisted from search which will help visitors pick the right website when they search.

If you build your website on content management system and if you are using free theme it is very likely that your website will look similar to a lot of other websites

It is just normal for copycat to exist and it takes nothing from you only if you continue to be yourself and do the best you can always

At times it may not copycat. When you use the same template, you may get the same result. Beer money forum and bizdustry as sometimes share the same look. And I don't think they copy each other.

I wouldn't be concerned about the conduct of others. I'd be true to myself, and if you're a trailblazer, consider the copycat behavior a compliment. It's a waste of time to engage in theatrics.

I guess the best way ay to deal with someone who blatantly copy your website from a to z and still come for you to help he or she out on how to generate traffic to their own as well, you should report the site immediately.

Since I build websites on wordpress and free themes, my website does not look very unique. This is the main issue when you build website on content management system and popular templates

It is good that before you have a website you must register business first because it is very important for one to for that so help you in your business.

I don't think there is a better way to resolve it than to talk to the owner of the site, maybe he or she can see reasons with you and make the necessary changes.

I think the only simple and possible way to deal with copycat is to take a legal action against if you are you sure it's your work they copied.

Copy cats are not to be feared by the original creators. The original products are expensive and the copy cats are inexpensive and easy to be destroyed.

The major problem with having a lot of copycats in your website is that they will run down the quality of the contents that are available on your website, thereby affecting its Google ranking.

I really don't think copying a template or format of a website is a crime. The only crime is when the website owner start copying your content and pasting on his own website word for word

Take all necessary efforts to minimize the problem if someone frequently duplicates you and then move on. People who rely only on the work of others for inspiration won't endure long, and caring about them diverts your attention away from you.
