Definitely you sahre the very true vision about job seekers. This is the common mistake doing by many job seekers, they often come late to fixing time for interview mean they are not punctual and it is drawback, some of job seekers can't prepare themselves according to experience or profession they share on Resume. Human resources professionals and attorneys spend hours creating and revising application forms. I don't like the work because there are so many laws to abide the...to rules and regulations are not easy to certain people and this being the case some of them flounder during their interviews and do not get the job. When applying for a career, it needs to be something you enjoy doing, or you won't be putting your best of energy into the job.

Showing up late is one of the things but it's not the only one. The way you dress to the interview is very important, don't dress anyhow like you going to your friends house to play, that would definitely make you lose the job because you would be considered unserious

In my country Nigeria a lot of graduate with good resumes and great CV are being denied Jobs some of them don't wear a smile in their face and like you said coming late for interview is definitely a red flag.
That's serious. What does smiling face habe to do with a job offer. I can only blame the applicant if the job is customer service job. There may be other factors why the applicant was not chosen other than not wearing a face. I can't be putting on a fake smile just to win the hearts of my interviewers.

You are absolutely right. Some people lack fashion dress. They don't mind wearing green top on yellow trouser with red shoe plus blue tie. All these are counting down on the applicants. We need to wear the to attract.

Common mistakes that cost jobs opportunities 1

Coming off as unprepared

Your preparedness for the interview is two-fold: you should be ready to discuss and expand on your own resume, background, and skills, but you should also come prepared with questions or talking points that show you’ve done your homework about the company and the role. If you stumble on either front, you’ll appear unprepared, disengaged, and like you simply didn’t care enough to prep for the interview. Under these circumstances, you’ll have a hard sell trying to convince the hiring manager that you’re interested in the position.

Most current interview have shifted from the conventional procedure. Instead of asking about your field of expertise, your interviewer might just ask you a question of what your observation around the interviewed room is.

Not doing what's needed research on the organization - read ongoing articles and public statements, think about late item dispatches, or moves in top administration, comprehend what significant moves their rivals have made, know whether they have done any new acquisitions. Also, consider what those things could mean for the office and job that you are meeting for.

I agree and actually sometimes showing up early can have the opposite effect. Sometimes showing up early will impress your boss enough to hire you. It's happened before to people I even have met.
