Most of the younger crowd (30 and under) were raised on social media.

How can we, community managers, who have communities not utilizing social media, appeal to these younger people to join and be active in our communities?

What steps have YOU taken to make younger folks want to join your community?

This is a tough one as I feel much of the younger crowd are definitely set in their ways and because they are so used to social media it's difficult to get them to even try forums if they have never used one.

I feel having a general chat vibe works as a lot of them like to chat and having things such as GIFS as well available if you can also help a lot.
