Bad leadership tends to involve lacking the necessary skills and qualities to effectively lead a team. Continued bad management can lead to high staff turnover rates, with the most valued employees looking elsewhere for work. This also means that constant training of new recruits is required, which ultimately uses up valuable time for other employees.

Both the manager and employee have duties to perform for the growth of the company, if the employees are not working hard and well it will affect some aspect of the company likewise the manager
I believe it's both parties... The manager should see that everything is in place... At the same time, if the manager is faulty, then the company will not world well. At the same time bad employers will ruin the company.

@Yasmin and for a trained recruit to be able to understand the work environment fully needs a number of projects and experience to be able to adapt to the place of work. But we do have exceptional workers who have all it takes to make instant impact .
 
Business is not just about interest and money but it's more of understanding the key principles. A bad boss can take a good staff and destroy it, causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation. A manager can damage very much portion of company which can not be done by workers or employee. Eventually, employees will become disenchanted and quit to work for another company.

That's true @Kiwi most employees don't have much of a choice but to leave after serving the company for many years. When an experienced worker with high productivity leaves a company, it affect the company's output and contribution to profit. Even when replaced immediately.
