Would you ever try to act yourself?

Has anyone here ever tried acting? I doubt I'd be any good at it myself, but I have friends and family I could see killing it as an actor. Would you ever take the chance of doing it? OR would you rather pass on that? I imagine acting is tough to do, especially if you have to keep a straight face for some scenes. I doubt I could keep my cool.

I always remember when I was a kid and in primary school, I used to take part in plays and concerts but I would always have parts that were done with others and not on my own.

When it comes to acting and being an actress, I do not feel I would have the confidence to do that and would much rather leave it to those who do and have a passion for acting.
