Would you ever sell off your business at the height of its popularity?

It depends on a number of factors. Firstly I will consider the niche or Industry in which the Industry is based, and then where that business will likely be in 10 years from now.

I don't think that's a good idea because the site will generate more revenue for you more at that time than you selling it. If at the end its popularity started depreciating then you can sell it....
That to sell of my business at the height of his popularity that is working and not ripping off my labels then selling it off.

If I do not have any immediate use for the website and there are buyers who would be willing to buy, I would sell to them at a very high cost.

If start-ups like YouTube, instagram, snapchat and co. can be sold; why not mine? I'll categorically state though that if my ideas to keep running the business aren't forthcoming, I'll sell the business

I believe that there are some things that warrant one to sell his property or belongings and I don't think selling of site is an exception. Personally, if I have urgent need for money and I know that the only source of money will be selling of my site or any other of my property, as the case may be, then I will sell it and use the money to solve the problem. It is just my opinion though.

It doesn't make sense for you to sell off your business when it is at the height of his popularity but some people do it for so many reasons.

Becoming successful in business is actually not easy because there may be offers from people we'll see your business has a very big potential and you may be tempted to sell.

I can only sell if I no longer have interest in continuing with the business or have met a buyer who would pay very high amount of money.

Let's say you have a hugely popular site, and it's blowing up right now. Would you ever consider selling your site when it's at the height of popularity? Or would you rather wait? Or, keep the site?
I would never sell my business at any height of popularity. Online business generally becomes passive income for many many years to come and that's a hen which keeps giving you eggs every day, for you to upscale your lifestyle. On the other hand, I would keep creating more and more sites, which can be successful.

I understand that some persons are into flipping business. They venture into growing their business at some point selling it. But I'm not in that pace with them. I love growing my business long time.

No way I can't sell it I rather make sure I stay with it until it gain popularity then any profit make from it I can start up another business with it

If the site ( my business) is doing well like you have just explained, I see no reason to sell it off. I would rather keep working with it to get more profits from it.
That is absolutely right. Why should I sell off my business if it is doing great and marvelous.

It is better to keep it working and growing. But if your gift or skill is just in starting, then better to sell it off.

True, there are some persons I have come across, they are so good in startup and setup. So people usually hire them to handle the early stage of their business and pay them.

Is very bad for One 2 sale of his business at the height of its popularity rate that he has definitely work and suffer from nothing without enjoying his labour

If there is a demand for my business to be sold, then it means they have seen the potential it offers. I would keep managing it. I may not get the chance to gain such popularity again.

People who have sold their business when the business is getting more popular are currently regretting their decisions . I think the right thing I to work towards building it stronger.

This will be what i would die regretting if i ever make that mistake because i grow it to popularity or waited patiently to for it to get that popularity then why selling it.

No matter the amount I can't sell my business to allow someone to enjoy it, because I don't think selling of your business at height popularity is not right.

I doubt I will ever do that. I could remember when Emmanuella began her Facebook page a few years ago and the comic group has millions of followers. She said that some people offered her team 10 million naira or so but they refused to sell.
To me, business is an asset. A working and functioning site is an asset. Why sell your asset when it will fetch you more?

The original owner of WhatsApp sold it to Mark zukerberg and WhatsApp has contributed immensely to the wealth of Mark, I wouldn't make such mistake and sell my business.

This has happened several times and I believe that more people would still continue to do it provided they need money to work on something else.
