Would you consider your own web hosting company?

Would you ever consider setting up & running your own web hosting company if you had the means to do so? Personally, if I was able to do so, I would. It would be a good way of making some income doing something I'm passionate about and I'd be able to help others in the process. If I had the means to do so, I would definitely consider setting up my own web hosting company in the future. What do you think? Surely there could never be too many web hosting companies to choose from?

I have a desire to start my own web hosting company. While I might not be able to set up my own data centers and start a web hosting business, I might try reseller hosting. Reseller hosting programs allow you to sell hosting without having to establish your own data centers. All you need to do is build your brand and start selling hosting services.

My husband and I considered it in the past, but we were afraid to make that financial leap. It's hard to get started in any business and we were afraid of failure. Now that I see how other hosting sites struggle with one thing or another, I am glad we never actually did it.

The average cost of reseller hosting package is $20. You get 25 cpanel accounts with this hosting package. If you are already spending $5-$10 on hosting your own website, I think getting reseller hosting is doable. You can host your site on your own reseller hosting package and sell the remaining accounts to make some profits.

I can tell you for sure that I have never seen a perfect hosting company before. If you see one that has good space and customer service then it is going to be too I will want to create my own hosting company in the future but I know for sure it is going to take a lot of money.

It's a rough business. There's a lot of competition, plus, you have to gain customers' trust. That is usually a long process probably.

Myself, I ran a free hosting company once. I gave away too many resources and it tanked.

It was one of my dreams that didn't came true. I loved to do it at some point a few years ago, but don't have the needed technical knowledge to do so. Setting something up is one thing, and I could do that fairly easily. But managing customers' their problems and resolving them is another.

I've never really thought about starting my own web hosting company. I imagine it's possible, but I don't think I'd want to be that involved. I'd rather just build sites, run them, and maybe sell some here and there. I don't need to be do hosting either.

Well, I have a dream of starting my own web hosting company, however, my hosting business would be basically reseller hosting and domain reseller. A couple of hundreds dollars and my business would go live online, a couple of hundred dollar in marketing, and I might start generating sales.

I will admit, it has crossed my mind a few times about starting up my own web hosting company but the money that I would need to put into it to start up and then also having the knowledge needed to continue with a business like that were what put me off doing it and instead left it to those who did have the money and the knowledge.
