I never really thought to own my own web host. There's a lot involved with not only getting one set up but keeping it maintained too, especially if you've got a good number of customers relying on your services. I don't know really anything about the server side of hosting.

I actually DO host websites for others on my VPS. Just a few sites though. It's not something I have the time to market and push regularly.

If I can ever get my RP forum software finished (yay for being ill) I might dip my toes into a specialist hosting market for it but that's kind of effort and more effort than I *really* want to put in.
